It's amazing indeed! Foreigners are seeing the green light, yet our dear wailers are moving towards the opposite pole. As clueless as their hero!

Nigeria no end for Lagos. Mark, ur next stop suppose b Nnewi or Aba if u serious abt meeting innovative minds buh I no go talkam before dem label me a tribalist. Stop wherever u like. Quote me and claim ur generational curse.
You don't sound like a very nice person. I doubt these curses are real, but if they are, they'd certainly find their owner, that is, their maker. Anyway, I suggest you change your ways and start living well. On your comment, there are innovative minds all over Nigeria - Nnewi, Aba or Lagos.

Liar,
The correct answer is: Nigerians produce uncontrolled number of kids and due to its population size it is one of the highest Facebook usage in the 3rd world with possibility for advertisement profit , by 2050 or so the population will be 450 million - more social media money!

olodo Nigerians can believe his silly reasons but even small time bloggers in Nigeria make billions let alone Facebook!

Don't mind Seun. I found it disgusting that Seun cannot ban tribalistic words. Instead he even encourages it by having his mods push "6 Nigerians arrested in China over drug". Etc. topics he knows are primarily sourced to cause tribal wars.

Seun should go and learn, not even from Facebook, but Twitter.

Do you know how many people are in Nigeria with talents like Zuckerberg's? The only difference is that they chose monetary value over passion. Case in point: Founder of Nairaland. In case you people hardly noticed, Nairaland has been stagnant for the past 3 years in terms of unique visitors and content with the main reason being the lack of passion. Instead what we have now is unregulated content on the homepage(Anybody can get published on the homepage by shouting out to moderators). what we have is a banning system which cripples creativity or heated discussions. I'm looking forward to the day when people can come on Nairaland and chat via video messaging or play games. A day when you can run monetary transactions through Nairaland and build a true social media ecosystem. The potential for success is there, if only the owner can rediscover his initial passion!

the fact he's the owner of nairaland doesn't mean he is responsible for every action.

Exactly. Nairaland has the capability to do exactly what you've said. But the thing is the mods or whosoever is in charge of nairaland are/is comfortable with this little achievement

most of you dont realise is that Mark Zuckerberg knows that with a growing african youth population, this is where Facebook future growth will be determined .also Africa at the moment has the faster internet growth rate in the world and before facebook is challenged by e.g china it better plant its roots deeper.he has seen what has happened to companies like e.g NOKIA,motorolla, siemens e.t.c he does't want to suffer the same fate
