Except that obaadaremi didn't tell you that this "audacious eko city" is not the brainchild of indigenous locals but its actually fronted by very rich Lebanese.

Its mostly a residencial city and not strictly a business hub .Residential cities never have much in terms of productivity + innovation .

Its a city of just 250k residents thus its impact on the 21m strong Lagos city will not provide Lagos with really meaningful positive uplift.

It has serious environmental issues due to being built on reclaimed land thus its experiencing ocean surges,flooding of access roads and flooding of Victoria island.Several dozen people have already lost their lives resulting in litigation to halt the project and compensation of bereaved families.

Actually Kenya has a bigger budget than Nigeria's entire budget.
