Kaduna State Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai over the weekend joined other dignitaries for a fundraising event hosted by Pastor Tunde Bakare in Lagos State.

Located in Oregun, the proposed project “The Citadel” is the new ultramodern Worship Center of The Latter Rain Assembly.

The state of the art building consist of a 5000+ auditorium,annexes, atrium, library, food court amongst other things. The structure sits on a 3-level basement parking, retaining walls with ground floor and additional 4 suspended floors and galleries with a helipad.

And I can authoritatively say this building will run into Billions. Unless the Banks are ready to finance this project,and I doubt that with the way the economy is.

And that brings me to the question,where will this money come from?

This one el rufai is always with bakare, hope he is not thinking of contesting election.

Building a church does not negate helping the poor. The fact that the pastor is constructing a huge building doesnt mean he is not also helping the poor. My quarrel will be if he used the money to buy rolls royce or private jets like a particular popular bishop in ogun state.

This building has been in the pipeline since 2002 when I last attended LRA. It is not a new plan. The land at Oregun was bought more than 10 years ago.

Building a physical church with billions is not it. Who is d church we r the church so build up ur followers in the most holy faith. Wat will u profit if u build a church worth billions nd ur members r nt build up in the most holy faith. I'm not a member of his church but my younger sister was before she relocated abroad. The church provides employment opportunities for graduates,helps members who run to him for financial assistant,these I've seen happen to people I know and he organises outreach programmes ones or twice every year giving free food,clothings and medicals to the poor;these I witness regularly. But the way he fraternizes wih elrufai is what his members are not happy about.

Bakare and other religious charlatans and con men don't care. They have perfected the art of milking God's people without any scruples, and they squander it all on nonsense like this. Yet Christians aren't crying out against this. I weep everyday for what wicked people have turned the beautiful message of Jesus into. With long patience we wait for revival.

In this harsh economy? Why not raise money to open a factory and employ church members but what do i know, I didnt receive any 'Call'....

Hell Rufai is after his 2019 Presidential ambition, but he will fail woefully.
