Why the emphasis on 2016 model?

have an HP pavilion X360 that could pass for a new one but isnt new. It has features of any modern laptop including the fact that
it can operate as a laptop/tablet.
360 degree rotation feature.
Beats audio speakers
Intel core i3 5th generation
Windows 10 pro
500GB HDD and 4 GB Ram
Video card.

Actually it's not about the year. You want the version with the longest battery? Buy the ones that have U processors eg core i3-6200U

The U processors are ultra low voltage processors used mainly in ultrabooks. They draw the least power when compared to other types of processors because of the way they operate. They usually have a low base clock speed (1.6 - 2.0GHz) but can turbo boost to an extra 1.5Ghz hence they save you power by giving you high processing speed when you need it and reducing the speed when you do less demanding tasks.
