Still Stunning! Agbani Darego

She is a modern Nigerian icon. Along with Oluchi, Agbani Darego helped revolutionize the modelling industry and revive beauty pageantry in Nigeria. Ever since Agbani was crowned as Miss World 2001, she was placed on a pedestal and is considered as a role model for many young Nigerian ladies aiming to be beauty queens. Soon after her win, she was spotted in international publications including US Vogue and Essence. She also featured in international campaigns for cosmetic giant L’oreal. For the past few years, many have been asking ‘where is Agbani?’. The only recent spotting was at the ARISE show at New York Fashion week earlier this year. Great news for Agbani fans – she is doing well and still looks absolutely gorgeous! Agbani is based in New York, signed to Ford Model Management and attends New York University. Though she is no longer a full-time model, she hit the catwalks at the recent Spring/Summer 2010 New York Fashion Week shows and has reportedly been signed as the new face of international sportswear brand Lotto Sport Italia in Africa. Pressure got too much for her at one stage, thats why she started avoiding Nigerians. She's doing well for herself now though. She was never into all the hype, just a shy girl who got thrown into the limelight.

her younger sister is somewhat pretty but Agbani is prettier, imo. Even with her dark skin.

Their mum isnt bad looking either (is that her in the photo).
