Most ops refused to see reason with what d minister is saying. He say if we don't farm,we should expect to buy rice at amount. Niger delta has d best land for rice production. I luv d hard ship on d land,it all make us go back to d land we have forsaken so many years back bc of oil

2. Before he ascended the throne, he made them hope, with all manner of promises, that he would bring them to the promised land before the coming year began.

5. Thus the inhabitants of Nigeria remembered not the good deeds of Jonathan, but thrust him out of the throne, and made Buhari president in his stead.
6. Buhari was seventy and(?) years old when he began to reign. He reigned one and a half years in Nigeria, and the land became impoverished under him.
7. He persecuted also a few of the people, accusing them and casting them into prison. Thus, the opposition was subdued, the people could not find bread to eat and there was hunger in the land.
8. And the end become uncertain as there was wailing and gnashing of teeth
it seems like you use kjv.nice and funny epistle

There is something with minsters in Buhari 's cabinet and unguarded utterances. This alone can cause panic buying which will lead to hoarding of the product and ultimately scarcity of the product. Thus granting his silly statements reality.

Instead of getting consumers so scared, why not tell both the producers and consumers plans th govt has put in place to support the cultivation of rice (I guess no plans). Enough of this cluelessness...

JJC minister, inexperienced minister, APC minister. as if their agenda is to punish Nigerians for voting APC into power.
God help us.

No, they should be castrated; and then sent to prison. grin grin grin

Imagine, we're 170 million and people are commmiting suicide because of frustration and hunger in the land. When we get to 450 million, we will start eating ourselves. grin

I support you, people's pocket should be valued to determine the number of children they can have, if you cannot feed yourself then forget it or be send to prison.

I see no reason why sane human being will bring children out of this wicked world to suffer. People are heartless.

“Rice matures in three months. So, this is a wake up call for Bayelsa people to take the four farms we have seriously. The federal government has four farms in the state in our records. The average land you see in Bayelsa can grow rice, so the colonial masters were not wrong in their assessment when they said Niger Delta could feed not only Nigeria but the entire West Africa sub-region.

“Unfortunately, agriculture till today, is not a priority of the Niger Delta as far as the state governments are concerned because of oil.”

How can the FG grow rice when the Niger Delta Youths do not want to work in farms.

I think the youths should share the blame. They criticise and celebrate crooks too.

Things are pretty hard now but i've never been more optimistic. this crisis is helping us to look inwards and aggressively alter our mono-economy status.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, Nigeria; we will get there!
That will be misplaced optimism. this set of leaders have been around forever holding one position or the other ,they have been over recycled, they've got no fresh ideas otherwise you would have seen some flashes, that can pass for work in progress , something to hope for but in this case nothing on ground to hope for. that's the sad part
