Hello everyone,

It is really annoying when one engages the services of a forum member who promises heaven and earth to deliver on a service but fails to.

I engaged the services of MissJoyJoy sometime in July this year. she claims to process fresh Driver's License within a period of 26 working days upon receipt of full payment. I was billed the sum of NGN18,500 which I wired to her account and she confirmed receipt of the payment (I will upload our whatsapp chats and SMS here for everyone to see).

I was away from Abuja on 19/08/2016 but notified her early enough.
I returned on 28/08/2016 and informed her of my return.
She later called me to proceed her office at Mabushi, Abuja on 31.08.2016 for capturing and collection of my temporary DL.

I got to VIO office at Mabushi, Abuja on 31.08.2016 and called MissJoyJoy.
She reported that she was out away but directed me to see her colleague. Her colleague made me wait for close to 2 hours before telling me that my application was not approved and that he will call me on a later date to come for the capturing. Please note that the specific date was not given.

I sent an SMS to MissJoyJoy about the development and expressed my disappointment at her for not confirming that everything was in place before calling me to come for the capturing.

I will upload the exchange of text messages next for all to see her reply....

I remember when i called you upon my return to Abuja, you said you have been waiting endlessly for my return and made it sound like i was the one slowing down the process. You had enough time (since July 19th) to process my DL requst and to make sure that everything was set before calling me for capture but you did not do your due deligence.

To cut the long story short, the colleague to MissJoyJoy called me to plead for some time to sort the issue out but still could not give me a time frame when I asked for one. this colleague to MissJoyJoy also reported that some people who paid since March 2016 are yet to be called for capturing (I have a voice recording of this conversation on phone).


This is the part that annoyed me the most. MissJoyJoy knew all along since March 2016 that there is an issue with approving DL request but still went ahead to advertise here on NL that she can process one's DL request within 3weeks and 5 days. Why did she not inform me of this pending problem when I contacted her in July?

I have since requested for a full refund of my money but she has failed to pay up. I even notified her more than a week ago that if I don't get my full refund, I will post our transaction here on NL and she dared me to go ahead in a text message.

I forgot to add that I was given a photocopy of a form and a bank teller of NGN6350.00 on the 31.08.2016 by the colleague to MissJoyJoy.

According to them, the form should prevent VIO and FRSC officials from harassing me on the road when asked to produce my DL. I will snap this form and bank teller and upload same here by tomorrow morning.

True....it is proof that your license is under processing and covers the driver just like the temporary license.

don't be in a hurry to conclude yet till I upload the form here for all to see.

Mind you, I paid for a valid DL and not a photocopy of a damn form.

If there are people who paid since March and are yet to do capturing, then our dear MissJoyJoy knew all along that she could not deliver as advertised but deceived me.

Permit me to also add that it is the lack of a time frame that is needed to really sort out the approval issue that prompted me to demand a full refund and to come public with this.

So if it takes 2 years to get the approval, am I expected to wait that long?

MissJoyJoy, from the messages uboma has shared, it seems you lack good customer relations. There's a way you would have handled uboma and he wouldn't have felt the compulsion to come online to complain.

If you had responded to him the way you did on this thread, trust me, I know uboma very very well, he wouldn't have come here to para. You were too defensive and curt, and you even told him you wouldn't be bothered if he comes online to share his unsavoury experience. On top of his own money!! In short, you dared him to do his worst.

Haba, I can't patronise people like you because I dey quick vex. If you respond to me in such a provocative manner I will just come online to scatter everywhere for you. That's just too bad.

Madam don't spoil business for yourself and other hardworking people on Nairaland. Customer service isn't the easiest thing to handle because every customer has their individual temperament, but you must learn to handle customer complaints with tact, diplomacy and composure, otherwise aggrieved patrons like uboma will keep coming here to complain, and your hard won image will be tarnished.

Op,

Sorry you've had a bad experience so far. I actually applied for my own DL April ending and got the temp ready by late June or so. And it was a stressful process. I sometimes thought the VIO guy that collected my money duped me.

I think Missjoyjoy may be genuine (I won't conclude yet until I see pics of the docs she gave you) but she's not giving you the full gist.

The process for me was:

1. Fill DL form and pay VIO guy
2. Was called for a driving school to come for test after two weeks.
3. Went for tests and drove their car around for a bit. The guy told me he will give feedback to the people in charge.
4. I then waited for the 26 working days more like 40 normal days for the driving school certificate to be ready. The cert itself can only be printed by the FRSC and comes from ABUJA.
5. I received a bunch of documents stapled together prior to capturing. The certificate from the driving school , a backdated learners permit, a printout of N6350 application online, and some VIO document which was to be filled in during the eye test at the VIO office.

Not sure she gave you all these documents but if she did then that may tell she's genuine.

I once read on one of Pattybf's posts that they've been having issues with new DL applications for a few months now. Not sure exactly what the issue is but I know no permanent DL cards are been printed.

But Missjoyjoy kindly come online and clarify exactly what the issue is so your client is at rest. Nothing beats good communication.

This Buhari government is really stressing people up trying to get a genuine DL b

I don't think I can conclude if she is telling the truth or lying but what I know is that what Richard told you is the TRUTH. Those guys most times have issues with the DL application and they wouldn't even know until the point of Capturing.

My experience was at Secretariat Ibadan, I was invited to capture in November but due to a tight schedule, I contacted the agent and she said I should come in December or anytime soon. I went in December as early as 5:30AM and I was 36 on the list. Lol.

When the capturing exercise began and I started seeing some unjustified and corrupt practice of the Officials, I can't keep mute , so I spoke out and one of the Officials in the capturing office told a guy before me that she has makes y face and she wouldn't allow me capture.

Behold when it was my turn to Capture, she did some XYZ and told me to stand up and sit somewhere, they told me my data hasn't dropped yet. And I was made to wait for 45mins in the capture room while they were attending to other people.

I confronted them and she said she will check again. Here I can't be patient anymore so I attempt to call my insider agent lol. She can't pick the pick as she text me that Ajimobi is around bla bla bla. I was thinking they were trying to fight me back with there System due ti the scenerio I caused earlier so I started the Big film with the help of my awaiting friends as we were heading to Lagos that day. Awon Eruku just escalate am for them and there were commotion. There boss intervened and told me the same story but I wasn't patient enough to listen to him, I believe he was trying to cover the staff up.lol. so ignorant.

Because I was telling everyone there that because I saw the staffs practicing a corrupt act by bringing in people who are not on queue, and they threatened to prevent me from capturing today, If I wouldn't capture, then Nobody they capture oo. I have waited for 45mins.

Everybody saw I had a point because we had issues but I don't have any valid point because my Said Agent filled my application TWICE which made them denied the application.

It was an error from my agent during information registration. So I later had to apologize and make friends with the FRSC staffs there. And since December, maybe nah when Jesus come I go do the Capture lol. I still use the paper. Even there boss has called me to come at my convenience but I no get time.

So my brother, I know you are angry but please try to understand her point too that its beyond her control.

My experience was at Secretariat Ibadan, I was invited to capture in November but due to a tight schedule, I contacted the agent and she said I should come in December or anytime soon. I went in December as early as 5:30AM and I was 36 on the list. Lol.

When the capturing exercise began and I started seeing some unjustified and corrupt practice of the Officials, I can't keep mute , so I spoke out and one of the Officials in the capturing office told a guy before me that she has makes y face and she wouldn't allow me capture.

Behold when it was my turn to Capture, she did some XYZ and told me to stand up and sit somewhere, they told me my data hasn't dropped yet. And I was made to wait for 45mins in the capture room while they were attending to other people.

I confronted them and she said she will check again. Here I can't be patient anymore so I attempt to call my insider agent lol. She can't pick the pick as she text me that Ajimobi is around bla bla bla. I was thinking they were trying to fight me back with there System due ti the scenerio I caused earlier so I started the Big film with the help of my awaiting friends as we were heading to Lagos that day. Awon Eruku just escalate am for them and there were commotion. There boss intervened and told me the same story but I wasn't patient enough to listen to him, I believe he was trying to cover the staff up.lol. so ignorant.

Because I was telling everyone there that because I saw the staffs practicing a corrupt act by bringing in people who are not on queue, and they threatened to prevent me from capturing today, If I wouldn't capture, then Nobody they capture oo. I have waited for 45mins.

Everybody saw I had a point because we had issues but I don't have any valid point because my Said Agent filled my application TWICE which made them denied the application.

It was an error from my agent during information registration. So I later had to apologize and make friends with the FRSC staffs there. And since December, maybe nah when Jesus come I go do the Capture lol. I still use the paper. Even there boss has called me to come at my convenience but I no get time.

So my brother, I know you are angry but please try to understand her point too that its beyond her control.

see below the photocopy of the payarena form and the bank teller of NGN6,350.00 given to me by the colleague to MissJoyJoy.

Please look at the form very closely.

It is boldly written at the top " can't approve form", "endorsement not available".

Can this form truly prevent VIO and FRSC officials from harassing me on the road with the "can't approve form" and "endorsement not available" boldly written on it?

the bank teller carries the sum of NGN6,350.00 only.

Sorry you've had a bad experience so far. I actually applied for my own DL April ending and got the temp ready by late June or so. And it was a stressful process. I sometimes thought the VIO guy that collected my money duped me.

I think Missjoyjoy may be genuine (I won't conclude yet until I see pics of the docs she gave you) but she's not giving you the full gist.

The process for me was:

1. Fill DL form and pay VIO guy
2. Was called for a driving school to come for test after two weeks.
3. Went for tests and drove their car around for a bit. The guy told me he will give feedback to the people in charge.
4. I then waited for the 26 working days more like 40 normal days for the driving school certificate to be ready. The cert itself can only be printed by the FRSC and comes from ABUJA.
5. I received a bunch of documents stapled together prior to capturing. The certificate from the driving school , a backdated learners permit, a printout of N6350 application online, and some VIO document which was to be filled in during the eye test at the VIO office.

Not sure she gave you all these documents but if she did then that may tell she's genuine.

I once read on one of Pattybf's posts that they've been having issues with new DL applications for a few months now. Not sure exactly what the issue is but I know no permanent DL cards are been printed.

But Missjoyjoy kindly come online and clarify exactly what the issue is so your client is at rest. Nothing beats good communication.

This Buhari government is really stressing people up trying to get a genuine DL b

Initially I had contacted MissJoyJoy that I will secure my DSC on my own but she discouraged me that VIO has a new format of the certificate. I then decided to run the whole process through her alone as she promised to deliver within 26 working days.

Kindly note that on 31.08.2016 when I was at VIO office at Mabushi, I saw about 3 persons who were captured same day and they collected their temporary DL. I even congratulated one of them.

She registered in June,you patronised her in July. I reserve my comment on some of these newbies

How can you conclude that it is beyond MissJoyJoy's control?

I paid the fees NGN18500.00 to her in July.
On her own, she called me to proceed to VIO office Mabushi on 31.08.2016 without double-checking to be sure that my application was approved and endorsement was available before calling me out.

I went as instructed and waited patiently for almost 2 hours and then asked to leave without being captured.

When I contacted her about the development, she preferred to pass on the blame to someone else as can be seen in her SMS above. Personally I have no dealing with her colleague but with MissJoyJoy directly.

Now as it stands, MissJoyJoy cannot exactly tell me when the issue will be sorted out. I can't keep waiting endlessly because this is not what she promised initially. Her colleague even reported that some people who had paid since March 2016 are yet to be called for capture. This is unacceptable!!!

my dear, I accept my mistake for not allowing her to prove her onions before engaging her services.

MissJoyJoy has been rude and arrogant towards me since this issue started.
telling me that she has been in the business for 8 years, what does that mean?
she has taken her share out of my money and failed to deliver the agreed service I requested for and she is not bothered.
