Amaechi and Fashola need to get serious please! What manner of ineptitude is this one? Abi is it the rocket science of '16 years of rot' that is doing them on top airport infrastructure and power supply?
the only thing amaechi knows how to do is to be taking pictures when boarding a plane,he has more or less turned the aero plane into his office. Fashola just doesn't know a thing about energy technology, why on earth will any sensible president put a lawyer in control of the energy ministry? Do we have qualified engineers in Nigeria r abroad anymore

Am not ask anybody that was there on Friday or that works there.

Learnt its not the first time the incidence is occurring, one happened with former president obj , was beaten mercilessly by a mad before his aid took the mad man away.. but you can never hear or read about it anywhere .

That is crazy to say the least undecided what a shame.

Please that headline diminished the length of the blackout. It was for 5 straight hours. 3-8pm. Funny thing is the main terminal building had power. But not the departure gates.
That means something is fishy. Were they trying to push something?

Whoever says we will/are getting right doesn't know/seen anything yet in this country .

Just the other day at the departure terminal, a mad man from nowhere appeared and gave a white woman a dirty slap, the woman fainted instantly... cameras/phones was confiscated immediately to cover up the news.
And I was like what the Hell is a mad man doing around an international airport . SMH

Am ashamed seriously

I just hate everything about this country.

Am optimistic that the power cut was a deliberate attempt.

Am optimistic that the power cut was a deliberate attempt or probably Nigeria factor. If senators and Nigeria as a whole experience blackout Then there's nothing new. This incidence exposes us to world what we go through in terms of power supply. This is a point of call to authorities as a matter of urgency look it before it becomes a norm

Hmmm....blackout at the main International Airport? No backup power supply to automatically kick in? Blame Buhari blame Jonathan...doesn't matter... it's a disgrace to Nigeria and there would be a big loss of much needed revenue.Somebody needs to be fired...or fired at.

Some Nigerians started complaining about PDP after 16 good years. But under APC the economy was destroyed and there was a total Black out in all sectors just after 6,months of buhari

Can someone please call Goodluck Jonathan to put together a team to save Nigeria.

We totally at this point reject Buhari and his terrible band of dullards., We don't need to wait for an election. This guys just have to go.
Lol... A Jonathan who we also had similar blackouts in his time is the best person out of 170million Nigerians who you think should return to solve a problem which he couldnt solve for 5 years despite the record amount of income his government was blessed with.

PapaBrowne, I hail you.

Let's all join hands to blame Stella Odua.

But none of their stooges can duplicate her management capabilities.

The airport will soon be concessioned out then things will definitely improve.

How? Will power supply provided by PHCN suddenly improve when the airport is concessioned? Or will the airport managers suddenly be able to access the forex to buy the diesel to run the gens?

If the government can't guarantee that we can have power, or buy fuel, then there's only so much the private sector can do.

I was at this airport only yesterday, after my two week visit to lagos to finish off my house -what is there to say about this airport that would bring a smile to one's face -absolutely nothing-ok,am being mean here -the Lufthansa executive lounge was nice -free booze and food.

It would be great idea to handover the airport to the chinese or another group of people, other than Nigerians. It just seems we are incapable of managing anything.

I was there yesterday . It was a complete shame and embarrassment. I got there at about 4pm and up until about 9pm when they did manual screening of our documents there was still no electricity.
There was complete black out at the departure gates,
We were told to go and make photocopies of our travelling docs which they collected from us as evidence of travel.
We all resorted to the use of touch lights and recharchable lamps to fill our documents.
There were delays in flight departures.
I have now arrived at my destination but still waiting for my luggage
