As a student, Its good to do some stuff with your free time that can fetch you money instead of folding your arms and waiting for financial reimbursement, incase of desperate times.

Here are some jobs you can make money from as a student.

tutoring
This is usually an after school thing, and the organizer determines the price, at times the students donate stipends for the organizer, its good for the students to help them perform well and stay ahead of the lecturer, i never miss this, thats how i got basic knowledge of html.

blogging
This isn't rocket science, and almost everyone know what blogging is all about, you just need a laptop which most students in Nigerian tertiary institutions have, Internet connection, good command of English, a knack for writing, creativity and basic blogging knowledge, you're good to go, visit WordPress or blogger dot com and create your blog.

graphics designer
This is self explanatory, in school you notice theres scarcity of people to design logos, banners and lots of graphical work, the skill is rare, so its advisable to acquire this skill and make the most of it while in school.

become a photographer or videographer
Theres also alot of demand for this, due to lots of student activities like matriculation, graduation, parties, all you need is popularity and you'll be amazed at the level of income you can make from that little digital camera.

Become a marketer
In a school setting they're alot of products in demand, there are a lot of services needed as well, services like assistance with assignments, laundry, products like recharge cards, clothing, shoes, etc
You discover what is in high demand and you tap into it, and make your services stand out by doing something different from whats already the trend, and you'll experience great patronage.

landscaping
You can go totally freelance and do things like mow lawns and make a decent amount or work as a freelancer for a landscaping business and make a decent amount of money. If you can do u manual labor, this is a great job for you.

Volunteer jobs and event planning
Most large events require temporary people to work for them, like concerts, parties etc, those events brings employment, ushers, security, event planners and people to help with cleanup after such events, the pay is good and it depends on the event and what you end up doing. Since there is always an event going on then you always have a chance to find some work.

affiliate marketing
This requires hardwork and dedication, it doesn't pay instantly but with Time it will, Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based
marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate's own
marketing efforts. So the more you bring people in through your referral link, the more you get paid, this works mostly for people who are popular on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, nairaland etc

On-Campus IT Support
A great way to work around your hectic college schedule is to actually work for your college, people who know how to set up, fix, operate and maintain computers is becoming a valuable job skill. You can be hired by the IT department of your school, you’ll gain real life experience and its gonna look good on your resume when applying for a real job after school
