The power of vested interest has denied most of our institutions the required standards to operate with. Not until when we have leaders with political will to decisively deal with these power brokers, we would continue to oscillate in this sphere of an equal centripetal and centrifugal force...unfortunately, Buhari through Kyari, his frontman does more damage than could ever be imagined |

ReddLabel: That's why a Jonathan who was an outsider could have continued until he purges the system of vested interest. But we made a blunder by listening to the same old thieves who squandered our past to come back and suddenly support one of their own corruption in the person of Buhari to come back and foist more corruption on the country. sell d refineries dem no gree. OBJ in 2006-2007 planned to sell refineries, but d a.bo.ki president yar adua reversed d decision under a very lame excuse dat they ar national assets. deziani wrote a report n said dat govt cannot manage refineries to d point of profitability and dat all d nation's refineries be sold to private sector for optimum production. but as usual a.bok.i corruption machinery in nnpc, subsidy lords n oyel bunkering cabals maligned n harrased her because she step on their toes. till today all d so called national assets ar still rotten with decay despite d billions spend on dem. none of dem is even functioning at 30%. as long as govt is still in control of all d refineries in d con3, they will NEVER work. state govts in conjuction with private sector should be allowed to manage refineries within their states. 1 Like |

Nigeria has spent N264 billion on maintenance of its four refineries since 1999 when the country returned to democracy, Daily Trust investigation has shown. But this massive spending has not been able to put the refineries back on production line, analysts say. As a result Nigeria, Africa’s largest oil producer imports most of its petrol for domestic use. Only if fools will read especially the above, they won't be talking thrash. The bottom line is the vast majority of these monies went to Emeka Effor whose company was expected to do TAM at least on two different occasions. Pdp gave their chief financier full money and the criminal did nothing. I wonder why he isn't currently in jail. 1 Like |

Think I've said enough about this issue over the years on this forum. There is nothing more to say. Its just a pity Nigeria has remained where it was years ago with a problem that has a solution kids will readily contemplate. They say the refineries are national assets..... indeed. |
