LIFE AND LOSSES


Life is a succession of losses beginning with the loss of the warmth and comfort of the womb that nurtured us for the first nine months of our existence..In childhood we lost the luxury of total dependence on our mothers,we lost our favourite toys,we lost days dedicated to play and exploration,we lost the privilege of pursuing the irresponsible pleasures of youth,we separate from the protection of our families as we leave the nest and take on adult responsibilities..Over the course of our adult lives,we lose money,we fail examinations,we miss opportunities,we lose friends,friends become strangers,we lose family and loved ones..

We lose all these things and more,until we finally face the final loss,that of life itself..It cannot be denied that our lives are filled with looses..Some losses are great;some are small and the losses we face affect our mental health..some people handle it well,while other don't..

The quality that distinguishes a successful person from an unsuccessful one who is otherwise like him is the capacity to mange disappointment and loss..

Too often losing goes to our heads..it defeats us and we have trouble coming up with solutions to our challenges..As the losses build up,they become more of a burden..We regret the losses of yesterday..we fear the losses of tomorrow..Regret saps our energy,we can't build on regret..Fear for the future distracts us and fill us with apprehension..

We need to expect mistakes,failures and losses in life,since each of us will face many of them and the way we handle it will determine how strong we are as a person..

In this ephemeral world you will always lose someone and something but never lose your connection with your creator.

Do you know why the dead receive more flowers than the living?..The pang of regret..The regret is stronger than gratitude

If you have a family or friend you are currently keeping grudges with,I plead with you to let go..Pick up the phone now and reconcile. Call your Mum now and ask her to pray for you,call your Dad and Thank him for always being there for you,his sweat has made you grow like how water makes the plant grow,call your close friend now and appreciate him/her for always been there and loyal..

In life we don't really know when we will be breathing our last..

When you visit the graveyard,prison and hospital,You will appreciate life more...When you lose good friend you appreciate them more when their absence begin to linger


In life we don't lose we only learn!
