Two American 'passport forgers' arrested on Friday in Bangkok safehouse where cops found dismembered corpse hidden in a freezer.

Two Americans and a Briton who were arrested in Thailand under suspicion of being involved in a passport forgery ring were also found to have stashed dismembered body parts in a freezer in their Bangkok safehouse.

According to the Bangkok Post, authorities in Thailand also discovered drugs and guns in the possession of the suspects.

Thai authorities said that they recovered 10 passports as well as ‘certain types of equipment found in the room that can be used to produce fake passports.’

The raid yielded six pistols, methamphetamine, marijuana, a printer, and chemicals, according to the Bangkok Post.

According to the Bangkok Post, one of the suspects fired a gun during the arrest raid and wounded one of the arresting cops.

"They are charged on five counts including attempting to kill an official on duty, resisting arrest, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, forging official documents and concealing a corpse," a Thailand police official said.

The authorities are trying to determine the identity of the dismembered corpse.

Thailand is a country known for its extensive black market, particularly as it relates to the trading of fake identities.

A dismembered male body wrapped in a plastic bag was found in a freezer at the site of the fake-passport raid.
