The shortlist for the 2016 Golden Boy award has been released. The golden boy award is given to players under 21 that has made their mark over the European football calender. Expectedly, our very own rave of the moment, Kelechi Iheanacho made the cut as well as Rashford of England. However, in reporting the news, goal.com/ng (the Nigerian arm of goal.com) would rather post the news using Rashford as an headline. It is popular knowledge how the English press promote and hype their football talents, one then wonders why the Nigerian media can't do same for their own.
