How prepared are you for the second coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ?

Have the lusts of this world not drawn away you from God?

To fast and pray now seems an herculean task to you. To study His Word is now like a mountain that looks impossible to climb. The once vibrant brethren for the Lord now give the slightest excuse to avoid God's work even when the time is there.

Having a personal relationship with God goes beyond just attending church services (mind you am not against it), joining many units in church (nothing wrong with joining units) or the number of verses you can quote off hand but you still need your personal salvation and personal work with God.

Roman 2: 13: "For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified

James 1: 22 "But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves

Philippians 2:12 : ............ work out on your own salvation with fear and trembling

James 2: 15-17: "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. if any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him
16: "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the [center]world[/center]
17: And the world passeth away and the lust thereof, but that doeth the will of God abideth forever

What are the things in the world: Fornication, adultery, lies, stealing, hatred, envying, gossip, malice, smoking, drinking, night crawling, murder, rape, witchcraft, lasiciviousness, idolatry, anger, wrath, strife, etc.

My brothers and my sisters, do not let us compromise our faith and stand in our Lord Jesus Christ because we want to "belong" or "feel among"
this is not time to be weary but to be steadfast for our King is coming soon.
and whatever we are passing through now that is challenging our faith, it is but for a moment.

Romans 8:18 "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us.

2 Corinthians 4:17: "For our light afflictions which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

And if you are reading this piece and you are not yet born again, please do so now before it is too late. Don't postpone it, come to Jesus now. Don't be deceived, not all that glitters is gold. only Jesus is the WAY, the LIFE and the TRUTH. no matter the sin you have committed, God is ever ready to forgive and cleanse you in the blood of Jesus Christ. Don't sell your soul to the devil because of money, cars, houses or fame. what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole and loses his soul?
Make that decision to come to Jesus now, invite Him into your life. You are still in that problem probably because of your sin, if you return to Him, He will also return unto you (Malachi 3:7b) and straighten your crook places (Isaiah 45: 2-3)
