The best thing to do is to start some. Get all the required information and things you will need. Then place an order for your CHICKS from a reputable supplier. Like preemah.

Good morning guys.
I have been battling with fowl pox for the pass 2weeks now, I bought a drugs to treat the fowl, I administer the drugs to my cockerel for 5 consecutively days, after the administration, there is no improve, I now repeat the same procedure for another 3days.. Things begins to worst.
Some of them comb is decaying , some are not active, some as lost weight..
Someone told me what can feed I do give to them , I told him I do fed dem with top feed , but I do mix the feed with Eri Ogi ( a kind of maize meal extracted from maize wen processing pap ).
He told me to stop mixing it to the feed, so I stopped , that was 5days ago
Eva since then , no still improvement.
Pls guys I need you gurus to help me out bf Iose all my cockerel

Hello, I had similar issues too but I treated with tetracycline capsule and today it is completely cleared. I treated with one capsule in the common small sized drinker filled with water.

my birds are loosing weight due to body itching am suspecting lice. Any help organically,they are 5 birds.

Take some lime n rub on the affected place. Then squeeze some in water for them to drink.

Let them out of their pen to do some sand bath or put wood ashes in a bowl n let them sit n bath in it. Good luck

Can you get neem oil? If you can, pour it on the birds from the crown of their head. Your birds are infected with lice.

2) can I be able to get details of the necessary organic procedures to go.
3)like how much but should I be looking for to take dem to 12 weeks
3) do you think I can be able to reduce the mortality rate I experienced in my farm using this organic method.

1) As a ‘first timer’, you shouldn’t dabble into organic poultry with such a large stock. Eventually, it’ll overwhelm you. Start with about 50-200 birds. Learn the ropes over again and expand accordingly. We will be your official DOC supplier as we distribute healthy and quality day old chicks. Our clients can attest to this.

I advice you re-administer the vaccine if you av not administered it before, and still follow-up with the antibiotics and a-lot of multivitamins

@ turks, you say one can raise broilers@the cost of 700 to 900 naira? I don't think that is possible but I am open to new ideas from you. hire can it be done?
