MAPOLY suspends six for manipulating students’ results
The Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has suspended for six months, six senior lecturers including one director and a head of department for allegedly manipulating of students’ results.
The affected lecturers, who were also demoted, were from the School of Business and Management Studies.
Their suspension and demotion followed the report of the Staff Disciplinary Committee (SDC) which found them “culpable” of wrongdoings in separate allegations levelled against each of them.
MAPOLY management added that the affected lecturers would not be allowed to hold any position of authority or responsibility in the institution for five years.
The institution’s management which communicated sanctions in a letter signed by the Deputy Registrar, S.A.Ashaye, and addressed to each of the affected lecturers said it based its decision on the report of the SDC on the alleged case of result manipulation levelled against a number of staff who examined Higher National Diploma course in the Department of Accountancy during the first semester examination of the 2015/2016 session.
The suspended persons are – M.A. Ademuyiwa (director) Mr. M.A. Ajayi (HOD) and four senior lecturers namely – Dr. M. A. Adesola, J.K. Ogunwede, R. A. Oduwole and Agbebi Pius.

I have not manipulated results, my letter reads that "i have awarded 12 mark bonus across board and also declare a 13-33 marks in no indiscriminate pattern to all students". There are 33 came out of the arguments that minimum CA, 21and the 12, so making 33. I want to question if any lecturer has not given bonus to all the student in his class , and for this am suspended for six month, removed has the director of school and demoted after ten years in position and not to take any responsible post for five years and not enjoy any sponsorship from the school or outside the school for five years...

That's the response from Mr. Ademuyiwa M. A who until his suspension, The Director, School of Business and Management Studies response.
There is serious misinformation about the reason for his suspension.
Those of us who know him and his personality very well, and are of the believe that the punishment meted on him is too severe, should also join in passing his message/response across to people who have been misinformed about the whole thing and for it to get across hopefully, to those who gave this very severe and undeserved punishment for them to reconsider.

This is very painful...person go jack finish while someone that did not write half of what you wrote will have a higher score than you...its bad then after they'll turn around and ask why we are not progressing as a nation

good,
other higher institutions of learning in Nig should follow suit. its becoming too much in the country. you will see olosho students having a better grade than the studious students. And I think the students involved too should be dealt with.

Dr. Adesola lectured me during my ICAN days though yet to bag his PhD then but was good at his craft.

Since bulk of the staff are from accountancy department the school should take further step in reporting them to ICAN for professional discipline. ...This would serve as deterrent to others engaging in such misfeasance, unwholesome and unethical practices.

He was found guilty of awarding bonus
marks indiscriminately in a particular
examination, placed on six months
suspension with half pay, removed from the
position of Director and demoted by one
grade level.

Ajayi was alleged of contravening the extant
rules of concession for upgrading and was
removed from the position of Head of
Department of School of Business Studies. He
was also placed on six months suspension.
Agbebi in his own case was alleged to have
aided a student in illegal writing of second
semester 2014/2015 and was said to be found
culpable of breach of trust and abuse of
office as the Sub-dean by subjugating
procedures guiding the conduct of
examination.
Ogunwede who was alleged to have awarded
unjustifiable bonus marks to students result
score in the course examined by him. He was
equally demoted to the next grade level.
Dr Adesola was said to have been culpable of
awarding unjustifiable bonus marks to
students in a course he examined. He was
demoted by a grade level step.
Oduwole was alleged to have been involved
in result manipulation and act which
according to the management constituted
gross misconduct.

I know of this Dr adesola As well,he knows and very good at what he does,he taught me at one of the private university in abeokuta,but was later sacked due to misconduct from him,so unfortunate and well deserve for him

Dr Adesola is a very good teacher and you can see that passion in him when teaching but he can abuse the hell out of his students.

We call him world best in Ojere then.
