5 Acts Of Self-discipline - Become A Successful Blogger by helyz(m): 2:21pm On Oct 13, 2016
According to Nathaniel Branden, Self-discipline is the ability to organise our behaviour over time in the service of specific tasks - It requires the ability to defer gratification in the service of a remote goal. This is the ability to think, plan and live long-range. Self-displine is the ability to make yourself do the things you know you ought to do, without someone making you do them.
To Blogger, Self-displine is the ability to do your dailies without any pulling forces: write your blog posts with enthusiasm, make time to socialize your posts, contact top blogger at your niche e.t.c. The truth is I don't possess the complete mastery of self-displine but I still have few or little embedded understanding of self-displine.
Yeah! Any successful blogger you might have known must surely possess afew or complete understanding of self-discipline. To be successful like they do you must be familiarized with pillars of self-displine in relations to blogging. They are:

=> Accept Blogging As Your Responsibility
=> Total Commitment
=> Read More Than You Write
=> Have A "Done" & "To-Do" List
=> Avoid Procastination

#1. Accept Blogging As Your Responsibility
Self-discipline starts when you believe that you're responsible for both the failure and success of your blog. Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibility. The only common quality that all successful people have is the ability to take on responsibility. So you should integrate the mentality that accepting the responsibility of what you do makes you a successful worker.

#2. Total Commitment
Total commitment means going beyond the limitation of demotivated spirit. Atimes, you feel down, you felt like being control by an external force telling you to go off the hedge, but you know what? Commitment will give you control over it. David McNally defines Commitment as the enemy of resistance. It is the serious promise to press on, to get up, no matter how many times you are knocked down.

#3. Read More Than You Write
Knowledge is wealth. A successful blogger aims at accumulating knowledge from different sources to increase their wealth. You should focus more on reading blog posts from other bloggers than writing. Reading from other blogs enable you to integrate and differentiate various writing styles and pattern.

#4. Have A "Done" & "To-Do" List
Your time is all you have to exchange for your success. If you cannot plan your time, you would definitely waste it. Then don't start anything unless you've planned properly, you'll always achieve what you plan for. You should have a To-Do list on your Computer, Phone, Diary, Note, Jotter e.t.c. Then forward the ones you've done to the "done" list. Using this act enables you to meet deadlines.

#5. Avoid Procastination
Procastination is a thief of time. There is nothing more harmful to the service, than the neglect of discipline. Why procastinating? Why not do the to-do? This have no good for your blog but it will rather cause it more loss of traffic, popularity and income. All you have to do is to never put till tommorrow on the book you can do today.

If we don't discipline ourselves, the world will do it for us
