Buhari’s Statement On Aisha Is A Wake Up Call For Women – Senator Olujimi by sarrki(m): 1:09pm On Oct 15, 2016
By Henry Umoru ABUJA-

DEPUTY Minority Whip of the Senate, Senator Biodun Olujimi, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ekiti South has described comments by President Muhammadu Buhari that the wife, Aisha belongs to the Kitchen as a wake up call for women in the country.

In a statement to Vanguard, Senator Olujimi while responding to President Buhari’s comment said, “the statement is in very bad taste especially that it was said beside one of the most powerful women in the world. “It is an x-ray of the soul.

A statement of fact that reflects the composition of this government and the disdain to which women are held by the President and this government. “We thank God that women have seen better leaders. By the way, we will not be daunted in our resolve to better our situation. It’s wake up call for us.”

This is what happens when you elect an ancestor as your President,
Buhari's brain is still stuck in the era, were a Woman's primary role was to cook and make babies,
The Man hasn't realised just yet, that the world has moved on from that era
Even the Baby below will agree with me

Madam olujimi abi na madam orijin please keep quiet. We elected Buhari and not Aisha Buhari. Office of the first lady is a waste of resources sef. Moreso Buhari might have found what Aisha said to BBC offensive. Hence, Buhari said his mind why crucify him. And the woman who happens to be a female senator too, what meaningful thing has she done since she became a senator to warrant women to be seen as the best thing that happened after sliced bread. I hate cheap popularity and talks. No woman needs to be a feminist -- because If you are very good at what you do and can hold your own as a woman in your chosen career and in the society, your works will speak for you. We all came to this world through a woman and we love and respect women as men but always hiding under feminism to prove you are relevant is crap. Enough of all this pity games for women. Let them stand up and be counted!

Wake up call from where?

Abeg women will always be women. E.g. is the case of Job, where his wife was pouring salt to injury, telling him to curse God and die. A perfect case here.

Though harsh, but Aisha should have thought well before going to BBC.

All those women parading themselves as AGIP (Any government in power) may have advised her wrongly.

Women should know how to use their powers rightly.

The speech is not a welcomed one. Buhari didn't say the right thing.... Belongs to your kitchen? I'm not surprised. If Boko haram can say Western Education is sinful, then Women Education shouldn't get less. #Pathetic
