I wish to bring to your notice about the sale of GMO products in super stores across the country. This is especially for our young lads and those who prefer shoprite, Cash N Carry, and other super Chain and departmental stores to shop for fast food rather than settle for locally made meals.
GMO are simply Genetic Modified Organism. these are products of Genetic engineered crops and research has shown that they are unhealthy and harmful to the body.
The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) urges doctors to prescribe non-GMO diets for all patients. They cite animal studies showing organ damage, gastrointestinal and immune system disorders, accelerated aging, and infertility. Human studies show how genetically modified (GM) food can leave material behind inside us, possibly causing long-term problems. Genes inserted into GM soy, for example, can transfer into the DNA of bacteria living inside us, and that the toxic insecticide produced by GM corn was found in the blood of pregnant women and their unborn fetuses.
how to Identify and avoid GMO products in stores:
Shopping for Food. Buy food labeled 100% organic. Recognize fruit and vegetable label numbers. Buy 100% grass-fed meat. Seek products that are specifically labeled as non- GMO or GMO -free. Shop locally. Buy whole foods. Grow your own food.
