How Do We Know That The Bible Is The Word Of God And Not The Qur’an? by Clementor(m): 5:30pm On Oct 16, 2016
Answer: The question of which (if any) religious text is the true word of God is of utmost importance.
To avoid circular reasoning, the first question we must ask is: how would we know if God communicated in the first place? Well, God would have to communicate in a manner that people could understand, but that also means that people could make up their own messages and simply claim that they came from God. So, it seems reasonable to think that if God wanted to authenticate His communication He would have to verify it in a manner that could not be duplicated by mere humans - in other words, by miracles.
This narrows the field considerably.

Beyond the evidence for the Bible's correctness (manuscript evidence) and its historicity (archeological evidence), the most important evidence is that of its inspiration. The real determination of the Bible's claim to absolute inspired truth is in its supernatural evidence, including prophecy. God used prophets to speak and write down His Word and God uses miracles like fulfilled prophecy to authenticate His messengers. For example, in Genesis 12:7 , God promises that the land of Israel was to be for Abraham and his descendants. In 1948 Israel was returned back to the Jewish people for the second time in history. This may not seem so astonishing until you realize that no nation in the history of the world has been scattered from its homeland and returned! Israel has done it twice. The book of Daniel predicts with accuracy the coming of the four great kingdoms from Babylon, to Medo-Persia, to Greece, to Rome centuries before some of those kingdoms came on the scene (a time span of over 1,000 years!) with details concerning how they would rule and be broken. This includes the reigns of Alexander the Great and Antiochus Epiphanies.

In Ezekiel 26 we can see in astonishing detail how the city of Tyre was to be destroyed, how it would be torn down, and how its debris would be thrown into the sea. When Alexander the Great marched on that area, he encountered a group of people holed up in a tower on an island off the coast near there. He could not cross the sea, so he could not fight those in the tower. Rather than wait them out, the proud conqueror had his army throw stones into the sea to build a land bridge to the tower. It worked. His army crossed the sea and overthrew the occupants of the stronghold. But where did he get so much stone? The rocks that were used for
the land bridge were the leftover rubble from the city of Tyre . . . its stones cast into the sea!

There are so many prophecies concerning Christ (over 270!) that it would take more than a few screens worth of space to list them all. Further, Jesus would have had no control over many of them such as His birthplace or time of birth.
Second, the odds of one man accidentally fulfilling even 16 of these are 1 in 10^45. How many is that?
For comparison, there are less than 10^82 atoms in the entire universe! And Jesus, who affirmed the Bible as the Word of God, proved His reliability and deity by His resurrection (an
historical fact not easily ignored).

Now consider the Quran - its author, Muhammad, performed no miracles to back up his message (even when he was asked to by his followers - Sura 17:91-95; 29:47-51). Only in much later tradition (the Hadith) do any alleged miracles even show up and these are all quite fanciful (like Muhammad cutting the moon in half) and have zero reliable testimony to back them up. Further,
the Quran makes clear historical errors. Muslims believe the Bible is inspired but with some errors from editing (Sura 2:136 as well as Suras 13, 16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 25). The question they cannot adequately answer is: "When was the Bible corrupted?" If they say before 600 A.D. then how can the Quran admonish believers to read it? If they claim it was after 600 A.D., then they have jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire, for
we have absolutely no doubt as to the accuracy of biblical manuscripts from at least the 3rd century forward.
Even if Christianity were false, the Quran still has an insurmountable problem because it makes judgments against Christians for believing things that Christians don't believe (nor have they ever).
For example, the Quran teaches that Christians believe the Trinity is the Father, the Mother (Mary), and the Son (Sura 5:73-75, 116), and the Quran also teaches that Christians believe
that God had sex with Mary to have a son (Suras 2:116; 6:100-101; 10:68; 16:57; 19:35; 23:91; 37:149-151; 43:16-19). If the Quran is really from God, then it should at least be able to accurately report what Christians believe.

The Bible so far outshines every competing source for being God's revelation that if it is not God's Word, it would seem impossible to choose among the leftovers. If the Bible is not God's Word, then we have been left with no clear criteria by which to know what might be.

why do u have take a false oath just for you to post this? cheesy

Sometimes is really hard arguing with you pple and it's almost impossible to prove issues for you to understand simply because you pple are not even doing the basic research on the issues you are asking.
You People often ask what miracles the prophet Muhammad performed; many of them even make the claim that the Quran and the hadiths record no miracles done by the prophet. However so, it seems that I am reading a different Quran and hadith then, because you would have to be blind, or a big liar to claim that there are no recorded miracles of the prophet found in Islamic sources.

I wont label you people who make this claim as liars, no, after all most of these you do not do the research yourselves, rather it’s your own Christian scholars who deceive you people with their lies against Islam, such as Answering-Islam, prophet of doom, faith freedom etc. It is these sites and Christian scholars out there who make some of the biggest lies against Islam, deceiving their Christian people into having wrong ideas about Islam, so when you have normal Christians coming up to you with arguments, you must know that this person is simply arguing from what he saw and heard from Christian polemic against Islam. because you people are not here for facts and the worst part

I can go ahead to reply your queries but i doubt much if u are here for the truth because most of your queries re copy n paste without any verifications, to copy n paste is not a crime but at least you should apply some sincerity to analyze n verify what u r reading

Qur'an is the word of God it talks about important Laws, statements and history so that Muslims will take a good lesson from it. Unlike the bible that majority of it is the biography of Jesus A.S. and his diciples. Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. biography is recorded in Islamic history books and traditions. Prophet Isa A.S. was able to revive the dead and mold a sculpture and give it life but all with the permission of Allah so that unbelievers will see truth a so that they may be guided. Instead you turned a very noble a selfless servant of God into a dietyand about bible being changed i don't know about Muslims saying bible was changed in 600 A.D. because the bible is always changed every year. Check out the Miracles of the Quran, a book so much feared by scientists they have stopped challenging the Quran because it always proves them wrong.

a book so much feared by scientists they have stopped challenging the Quran because it always proves them wrong.

if you say so, plz answer this questions:

Question #1
I was hoping a Muslim could help me understand this. In
Islam we know that Muhammad is to be the greatest
prophet, but the Qur’an calls Jesus holy in chapter 11, but
never calls Muhammad holy although he is supposed to be
the greater prophet. Jesus performed miracles, but
Muhammad never did. Why is this?

Question #2
In chapter 18 of the Qur’an, Allah told Muhammad that the
sun sets in a pool of muddy water. How can the Qur’an
really be of God when this is obviously wrong?

Question #3
How can you reconcile that in Chapter 19 of the Qur’an that
it says that Mary (Miriam), the mother of Jesus was the
sister of Moses?
We know that Moses had a sister named Miriam, but
Muhammad got a little confused here, didn’t he? He has her
displaced by some 2,000 years. This happens again in
chapter 7.

Question #4
n chapter 7 of the Qur’an we find Moses living at the same
time as Christ’s disciples. Again, this is some 2,000 years
out of the proper time. How can this be?

Question 5
In chapters 21 and 37, the Qur’an says that all the sons of
Noah were saved in the ark, but in chapter 11 it says that
one of his sons drowned, that he didn’t even get on the ark.
It says that he was going to go to a high mountain and save
himself. How can this be?

Question #6
In chapter 17 the Qur’an says that Pharaoh drowned in the
Red Sea, but in chapter 10 it says that he survived. How do
you reconcile this?

Question #7
In chapter 7 it says Allah does not forgive shirk
(blasphemy), but in chapter 4 and chapter 25 we see him
forgiving shirk. How can this be?

Question #8
In chapter 35 we are told that angels have a total of 6 wings,
but it is recorded that Muhammad said that the angel Gabriel
had 600 wings. How can this be?

Question #9
Who was the first Muslim? In chapter 39, Muhammad said
that he was, but chapter 7 says it was Moses, and chapter 2
says it was Abraham.

Question #10
In chapter 7 we find that the Jews repented of their
worshipping of the golden calf, but in chapter 20 we are told
that they didn’t. Which is true?

Muslim!!!!! this is where you Quran fumble.

Allah, Adam, and the Angels . There are a great number of
problems and inconsistencies between the several accounts
of Adam's creation, Allah's command to prostrate before
Adam, Satans refusal, etc.
3. Who Was the First Muslim? Muhammad [6:14, 163], Moses
[7:143], some Egyptians [26:51], or Abraham [2:127-133,
3:67] or Adam, the first man who also received inspiration
from Allah [2:37]?

Can Allah be seen and did Muhammad see his Lord? Yes [S.
53:1-18, 81:15-29], No [6:102-103, 42:51].

Can Angels Cause the Death of People? The Qur'an attacks
those who worship anyone besides God (e.g. angels or
prophets) because those can neither create, nor give life, nor
cause anyone to die. Yet, the Qur'an explicitly states that one
angel or several angels are causing certain people to die
[Sura 4:97, 16:28, 32, 32:11].

To Marry or Not to Marry? The Qur'an forbids believers to
marry idolatrous women [Sura 2:221], and calls Christians
idolaters and unbelievers [9:28-33], but still allows Muslims
to marry Christian women [5:5].

Will Allah reward the good deeds of Unbelievers? S. 9:17 and
9:69 clearly say no. However, S. 99:7 implies yes. Moreover,
S. 2:62 promises Christians reward for their good deeds. But
S. 9:28-33; 5:17, 72-73 calls Christians idolaters, and S. 9:17
is very clear that idolaters will have no reward.

Should Muslims show kindness to their parents? On the one
hand, the Quran commands all Muslims to show kindness to
their parents, even if they are disbelievers [17:23-24,
31:14-15, 29:8, etc.]. On the other hand, it demands not to
show any love or friendship to those who oppose
Muhammad, even if they are their parents [9:23, 58:22].

How many angels were talking to Mary? When the Qur'an
speaks about the announciation of the birth of Jesus to the
virgin Mary, Sura 3:42,45 speaks about (several) angels while
it is only one in Sura 19:17-21.

and many more

The Quran in Sura (Chapter) 2:223 says:
Your women are your fields, so go into
your fields whichever way you like . . . .

The Prophet said, 'I looked at Paradise
and found poor people forming the
majority of its inhabitants; and I looked
at Hell and saw that the majority of its
inhabitants were women .'

Slave—girls are sexual property for their male
owners .
The Quran in Sura 4:24 says:
And forbidden to you are wedded wives
of other people except those who have
fallen in your hands [as prisoners of
war] .

The Quran in Sura 65:1, 4 says:
65:1 O Prophet, when you [and the
believers] divorce women, divorce
them for their prescribed waiting—
period and count the waiting—period
accurately . . . 4 And if you are in doubt
about those of your women who have
despaired of menstruation, (you should
know that) their waiting period is three
months, and the same applies to those
who have not menstruated as yet. As
for pregnant women, their period ends
when they have delivered their burden.
