Talking about South west voting against Jonathan, it wasn't because of marginalization to some extent but because the south west wanted total overhaul of the economy. Jonathan at that time was a failed leader. I will still say this, if we had Jonathan as the President now things would be hard than this.
Tru talk my broda

As a yoruba man, i regret voting buhari because i never expected this betrayal attitude towards Tinubu who laboured so hard for him to emerge president. Tinubu remains a jewel in yoruba land and even renegades like fayose and ffk acknowledge him as a leader of the yoruba nation. Tinubu did not sell us into political slavery, the north simply betrayed the SW and we will vote out buhari in 2019 for this hardship we are currently experiencing. We yoruba's are sorry for voting buhari.

It is rather too late because wailers forms were exhausted last week. tongue

that is enough..if some people have realized thier mistake for voting in Buhari..it is now left for them to right the wrong in the future..we southerners should let bye gones be bye gone..and lets join hands together to ensure that Nigeria can be restructured again..that is what we need in this country and not all this childish name calling..it wont lead us any where.

Most Yorubas claimed that Jonathan marginalized them but they rejected the speakership position zoned to them.

But the same people that shouted marginalization under GEJ are now comfortable with it under Buhari, they don't care if Buhari fills all the positions from his village as far as they are none Igbo/ ND.

South East will never vote a buhari instead they would not vote at all. That is what principle is all about....I will not be wrong when I say Yorubas have no principle.
To start with the issue of speakership position, Adeola got 92 votes compared to tambuwal's 268 votes. SW has close to 74 lawmakers and majority of them supported her except few ones from lagos, so how come adeola got 92votes ? What happend to votes from SS/SE ?

You said yorubas have no principle ? Where were you wen thesame yorubas gave GEJ more than 2 million votes in 2011!. Also, when the cabals in yar'adua's govt refused to declare him as acting president, the likes of prof. Wole soyinka, tunde bakare, odumakin led a massive protest in support of him, but what happened when he came to power: he schemed out SW in his political appointments, as big as oyo state is what they were proud of is minister of state for FCT, what abt LAGOS: minister of state for defence. OSUN: Police affiars, EKITI: minister of state for works!! That's not all brother, he came to SW and proclaim that our leaders are rascals, under his watch Hamza Al-Mustapha was released, Anyim Pius Anyim was so powerful that out of 48 MDA's appointments he made sure SW took only 3, should we talk about Justice Ayo Salami that was relieved of his appointment despite court orders ? Believe ne GEJ goofed, he later knew towards the end and within 2 weeks he visited SW 6 times during his campaign. And you expected us to clap for him ? Was even surprised he got more than 1.8million votes against buhari. Waiting for your response

What do u expect from a relegated Politician?

Yoruba as a race has never and would never be in political slavery.

Tinubu is only after his personal gains.

It's just crazy d way this politicians genralize and ride on ppl's emotions as if d govs of all d SW states are from d north.
I don't even wanna talk abt who are in charge of d two most powerful ministries.

This man should go and start a farm or something.

I can see lots of my brothers from d east saying all sorts on this thread, but come 2019 whether u all like it or not,u would vote for a Northerner.
Young man first, ministers are chosen from all 36 states of Nigeria so I dunno what you mean by powerful or whatnot.

Second, that a northerner would probably rule this shithole for a long time is a direct consequence of some foolish and unthinking yorubas action just as Okoronmu has averred.

Third, since an igbo man cannot lead this entity because the political structure is skewed to favour the north, then he has no option but to vote a northerner.

Last election was just about that, I tell you boldly that many igbos wanted a change from Jonathan but if buhari was the one, then we would never have anything to do with such an element.

Give me a nuhu ribadu or tambuwal or even Atiku and I'll be fine, not some vengeful, hate filled and ignorant dolt like you CinC.

Capische?

An honest afonja man by name okoronmu just said what every well wisher of afonja has been saying for a long
You afonjas make wrong and stupid choice in choosing your leaders
Your leaders lead you people to destruction
First it was Awolowo now tinubu
What angers me the most is that you have great leaders like akintola adedibu Fani kayode and fayose yet you people choose to follow Chicago drug barron tinubu
See where tinubu has taken you people to
Imagine wicked fulanis are maltreating you people and there is nothing you or your useless tinubu can do
I feel sorry for your shameless state

God bless u sir!it's so sad dat we av youths with dead brain,n no vision.very Unfortunate most of us don't knw why we are here2day.it's so Pathetic that most of us can't see beyond our stomach.I don't knw y dis ppl ar against Buhari's.I'm yet2 figure out his crimes.

Ade3000yrs:
In Nigeria, We have too many dumb and educated illiterates with empty paper certificates. People so dumb and too lazy to spend an hour or two to read per day. Nobody cares to know what is going on in the global economy and its trajectories. Nobody cares to read anything outside the four walls of the specialized and stereotyped discipline or profession.

Nigeria has a country has too many problem that has eaten deep into our system at the expense of free trade and open boarder cos such economic policies has a long term negative effect on a country economy. The only reason Buharri is been crucified is because after d late Abacha, he is d only President wt the nerves and courage trying to close our porous boarders and corrupt capital drains that has grounded and made d Nigerian economy vulnerable to foreign economic policies or stimulus that further compromise or rescind d dignity in the home grown or home spurned economy that has left us for years at the mercy and receiving ends of the white man inventions and age of technology that has left a hole on the value of our Naira and Kobo.

Nigerians needs Brain Koboko, Our case is too bad that our life begins and ends with our graduate certificates such that we are not committed to reading to keep in tune with the fast developing world. All we know is to work for 30 days and expect salary payment alert after every 30days calender month. Believe me we Nigerians truely dont have a life cos 90% of us are morons who don't know the different between good and evil, right or wrong. All we know is to get more certificates to get more money. its like what you call acyclic economic money doubling defaults. Our time and Portals are already closing up and we are fast behind schedulle. We are in an industrialized and tech age which permits the white man to think differently from the rest of the world. We are such a slowpoke not to know that for the next 2,000 years Africa and Nigerians will continue to remain indebted, and a money making puppet and for the white man and the developed Nation. Shame on us for Blaming President Muhammad Buharri for his efforts to put things where it should be even if it will cost our blood. Everyone wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die. You can't eat your cake and have it but Nigeria has eaten its cake long long long ago. like Soludo rightly said, "Nigerians has been living on a borrowed robe for far too long.

The white man has invented the technology that the world will to face the challenge of the next 50 to 200years but awaiting to be commercialised, when all that begins, Africans boarders will always be open for consumption and dependent economy, another reminder of how our forefathers and village and tribal Chiefs gave the white men a ship full of 2,000 slaves just for a "Common Mirror" just like we Africans are ready to kill ourselves and so hooked to our smart phones and computers today as we now live in a programmed world where one person with a computer has the power to save the world or doom the world. Courtesy of the white man while we Africans are still grounded in the immobile old mentality of everything begins and end with a graduate certificate. Increase efforts in imported or transfered technology only gives the developed world an advantage over the less developed or developing world. Increase efforts in Agriculture only gives the National GDP and Economy a boost.

As Africans, we are a disgrace to Education as we Abuse its use like a gun in the hand of a Child dragged to the war front and red lines. May God's Arch Angel's wings continue to save us as Africans from our shortsightedness and our dirty games of ploy and polity of fate, luck and fortune. With an edge in technology, the white man and the developed world is already 3,000years ahead of us.

If you are a good economist and you read your Macroeconomics text well enough, you will be knowledgeble enough to know that President Muhammad Buharri is only a Saviour helping to revive faith and dignity in the Nigerian economy. Commit 20,000hrs to study and become a master.

Yorubas should settle for speakership position only while they colonize the entire place for themselves... set of pained bigots plus idiots

Their hero saw d principle in yorubas when his dollars failed to buy their votes (which was given to him freely in 2011) over those who surrendered theirs for a plate of porridge.

Wicked greedy politicians have mastered the act of brainwashing the unsuspecting gullible youths.

What special personal gains did Obasanjo presidency curry for an average Yoruba man on the street?

What undue advantages did Jonathan's presidency give to the average Ijaw man. The last time we heard, his Oyuoke lacked good road, potable water and even electricity. They cursed him on pages of newspaper.

Did NOI give Nigeria's money to the igbo man on the street? She gave it to her cronies through import waivers.

Or, has Buhari emptied the treasury for his Hausa/Fulani brothers on the street?

So, what slavery are Yorubas condemned to by Tinubu or anyone?

GEJ failed by every parameter any govt can be judged with, and Nigerians duly removed the Ineffectual Buffoon from office. No apologies from me for the part I played.

Emotional and sentimental blackmail will not bring the IB or any corrupt person back to the presidency. So, deal with it as you like.

Nonsense!

Your thinking and analytical capacity is lacking in modern youths, be it Igbos youths, who seem to think that hate is virtue their race should be known and enjoy hating everything and anything, yorubas searching for eguje upandan.
They will die young for nothing but hate and foolishness.
The politicians they dying for is looting for his unborn generations.

I repeat...d two most powerful ministries!!!..The decision of whether APC would have mouth to talk in 2019 depends on d performance of d two ministries.

Buhari as a person is only concerned abt chasing ppl either witch hunt or not, while d ecomomic team headed by Osinbajo are d ones in-charge of policies. He has given them a free hand to operate.

Tinubu is a control freak,he wants to control everyone n everything dats why he had to be cut to size.
Tinubu takes a % frm d fed allocation of any state he has his protege as Gov and dis was where his rift with fashola n fayemi started.

It's sad that political/ethnic sentiments has blocked d reasoning of a whole lot of we Nigerian Youths.

Whether Afenifekun, OPC, disgruntled leaders like it or not, Yorubas are the shinning light of this administration. I don't know what they meant by slavery. Were they expecting Tinubu to had field a Yoruba for president ni when a Yoruba son Obj just completed his tenure. If Tinubu had advocated for a Yoruba president, the same hypocrites will still be the one to call him names, call him greedy and other unprintable names.
IPod yoots and these disgruntled agbayas who sucked Gej dry should go and die.
