A lot of men screaming 'Buhari this' 'Buhari that' has Buhari's mentality.

The only difference is that they don't voice it out.
Or they've not had the chance.

But it's in their actions. In their talks. Their Behaviour.

You know those type of men that will enter the bus, and ask you to enter inside(front seat), because they are men, they are supposed to sit at the window side. A woman you don't know from Adam.
How does that kind of man treat his wife?
Surely the wife belongs to the kitchen. Or the other room.

Those men that don't like hanging out with their wives.
They prefer the company of other men to their wives. The only time their wives get to meet with their friends, is when she's hosting them in their house.

Those men that the opinion of their wives doesn't matter to them. They prevent them from talking especially in public.
Their wife is inferior to them.

The ones who their wives are only useful in bed. To make babies.

Those very ones.
They are everywhere.
Around us and beside us.
Here on social media.
They have condemned Buhari of the very sin they are guilty of.
It's not just coming from the president. It's coming from an African man. Being president hasn't changed his mindset.
Because culture.
Religion.
Society.

I recently heard some Muslim clerics asked the Muslim law makers to reject the equality bill. That it was against their Koran. Men according to them, are far superior to women; and they can't be equal. And they can't support such bills.

Do you now understand Buhari?

Buhari merely said what is in the mind of some men.[i don't want to use 'most'] .
He's not alone on this.

It then goes again to show us why we have few female appointments in Buhari's cabinet.
Left for him, all women should go back to the kitchen and leave politics for men.

And perhaps, just maybe Aisha has been advising him indoors, but because African man; her only area of expertise is the Kitchen.
Even when she's damn right!

And so are a lot of men. They rather follow the advice of others than their wives. Because she knows nothing other than rice. And beans. And akara. And children diaper.
She shouldn't be meddling in men's affairs.

Some women are not even left out. You are angry over what Buhari said, yet your husband does the exact to you at home. And you are forming feminist on social media.
Please wake up! Buhari is not your problem. Your husband is.

The ball still goes down to the court of women.
While Aisha may not help the kind of man she married, and possibly you; you can help the kind of men and women your children will grow to be.

Do you tell your female daughters, that irrespective of all their achievements, they are bound to end up in a man's kitchen?
Words, actions shape children. And form a deep part of their core values, behaviour and belief system.

This men who believes these came from a system.
A culture which will be passed on to the next generation.

Raise men to understand the importance of women in the society. It's not just cooking and making babies.

As you are standing with girls, make sure you train your boys to appreciate the girls and their role in the society.

We have gone beyond that kitchen and bedroom crap.

Women are seen, heard and respected in all spheres of life..they don't just make History, they break historians records!

When we get it right early enough, Hopefully the future won't be so bad.
