1. Persistency:
ofcourse to be great and be able to achieve and attain greatness, you must be persistent. To be determined to achieve that height in spite of the difficulties.

2. Focus:
you need this also. To be focus is to pay attentiom and effort to that height you want to attain. Get hold of a particular thing and strive without looking to the left or right in getting there.

3. Passion:
you must have that feeling of love and enthusiasm to that thing or height you are targeting to achieve.

4. Making Research:
this one is what people find less important to do. You must find out more details about that thing you want to get involved with, read books and article about it and ask questions if possible.

5. Confidence in yourself:
if you don't believe in yourself that you can get to that height, how will you get there? You must encourage yourself and be a fan of yourself as to go high in life.

5. Time:
yes time is needed to achieve greatness, for there is time for everything. Do the right things at the right time.

6. Being rugged with your decisions (no
going back):
never be double minded when it comes to decision making, work on your decision and when taken, stand by it.

7. Thinking twice or even thrice before
concluding:
ofcourse you need to double or even thripple check before taking any step to avoid making the wrong move.

8. Investing/saving:
surely you need finance to run almost everything in life, and so you must keep some cash for the future either in banks or putting them in ivestment that when they are needed, they'll be available.

9. Self denial:
to be a sportman, you don't need certain food. So it is with greatness. Do away with what ever or whoever that will not add up to your goal(even if it will incovenience you) and enjoy the benefit when you become great.

10. Prayer and Avoiding excuses:
men and brethren, you need God to be great in life. Go for God and keep aside excusses, face the fact and work towards overcoming them.
