Keloid formation is an abnormality in scar tissue during wound healing. Has no cure going by oyibo method.
pls desist frm shaving or incisions on d scar area. Any wound on it will cause more scaring.

Meanwhile it still appears more linear like a hypertrophic scar. U may see a plastic surgeon for review.

You are playing with ur sanity and life. You mean you allow someone to stick a needle into ur head in Nigeria
The last person I knew that allowed a doctor to inject him in the neck in Nigeria later got blind up till today.
If it wont go by itself ,leave it there. If u try anything and it backfires you cant blame anybody . And I am even sure the person you allowed to inject that scar isn't even a qualified doctor maybe just a roadside chemist.

a, Pray to God to remove it..if you are not a believer u better be now, cos all things are possible with Him.

b, Get someone bold enough to cut the spot and apply lemon..in Yoruba "osoo wewe" Dont mind my spelling

c, after, apply dematol hair cream and any antiseptic soap

d, use anti-bacterial

Do this for 4 days, you will that me later

Get "Triamcinolone Acetonide" in any of the pharmaceutical stores. .i am using it now..although it would have been erased totally had it been you used it while the wound just got healed ...However it will work effectively but not total removal. You can also cut ur hair to skin ...so the scar wont be obvious.

U'd only end up getting more confused. See a plasttc surgeon in any of the teaching hospitals/federal medical centre. Keloids are very stubborn however There are different modalities of treatment, one of the common options being a steroid injection called triamcinolone into the lesion after its excision. Go see d specialist

Are you sure of your assertion sir? With all due respect, the injection is called kenalog, and it is commonly used to get rid of keloid. I don't visit roadside chemist..I got injected by a qualified medical doctor!

OP. I had a similar accident several years ago but my keloid was even more obvious because it was at the back of my right ear.

I got a doctor who operated on it somewhere around mazamaza in Lagos (can't remember the exact place though). After the operation I was advised to go and look for what Yoruba called 'Oori Ere' (Python's fat).

I got it from one of the local market women in a market around Agege and it worked like magic.

No more keloid and even the scars are gone, except for the top part of my earlobe that was chopped off in the accident.

You may give it a try hopefully it will work for you too. Those women that sell such things are everywhere in Nigeria, just find out the local name and ask them.

keloid is a common abnormality of wound healing common in blacks especially those with family history of keloid.its management is tasking and recurrence rate is high.its common on the anterior chest,shoulder,back,ear lobes(can occur after ear piercing),neck.Surgery yields immediate result but it wl likely come back since the wound wl still have to heal.You had injection at the site once,bet its triamcinolone acetonide,a single dose isnt adequate,the result is better but slower to achieve but u must repeat the injection multiple times.Its expensive too.Other treatment options such as cryosurgery,laser may not be readily available.Some use chemotherapy too(5 flourouracil).You will be best managed by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist.take care.

Take it easy,no doctor would stick a needle into the head of a patient with keloid.Its called LOCAL infiltration.it means,the injection is received by superficial tissues,surrounding skin is even spared.For example,if you have a scalp laceration,the edges will be infiltrated with local anesthetic e.g xylocaine so u wont be shouting aaaah,eeeeeh yiiiiii because of pain while the doctor stitches u up.it doesnt mean the doctor's needle will penetrate your brain.
