Greatest And Most Influential Nigerian Pop Hiphop Songs Of All Time by poundsanddollars(f): 11:20am On Oct 20, 2016
1. Jaga Jaga- Eedris Abdulkareem
By far, the most influential and daring song ever by a Nigerian hip-hop artiste. Released in 2004, this song armed with irresistible beats and realistic lyrics addressed the corruption in the land and sufferings of the masses. Till today, this song still rocks any party any time.

2. Yahoozee- Olu Maintain
Yahoozee entered the music scene in 2007 as the first song by a pop artiste to come with a customized dance and an upbeat tempo that can get even an old crippled woman dancing.

3. Fall In Love -D'Banj
Dbanj need no introduction. He is popular but his song ‘Fall in Love’ is by far more popular than he is.

4. My Car- Tony Tetuila
Those who are music freaks surely know this track is unforgettable. This Nigerian hip-hop as far as back the early 2000s has truly come a long way.

5. Ehen- Ruggedman
When no one cared about rap done by an indigenous musician, Ruggedman made this rap song that paved way and built the confidence for other Nigerian rappers. The song was so influential that it became the first time anyone would seriously give Nigerian rap a thought. So Ehen makes the list.

6. Gongo Aso- 9ice
Despite that majority of this song’s lyrics were done in Yoruba, it still spread like wildfire. Non-speaking Yoruba Folks still groove to this song till this day (even though they don’t even understand a thing 9ice was saying). That alone qualifies gongo aso to make this list.

7. Dorobucci -DonJazzy & The Mavins
No song will ever guarantee Don Jazzy's talent and creativity more than “dorobucci” did. This song was so influential that doro became a permanent slang in the land.

8. Do Me- P.Square ft Waje
“Do Me” remains Psquare remains Psquares unbelievable package and that one song that proved the twin brothers have come to stay

9. Kolomental -Faze
That one song that broke faze into limelight as a solo artist. This song was never a push over even till now. It’s truly a kolomental song because it will get you crazy any day or time.

10. Shokoribobo- KcPresh
Though Presh has dropped out of the music scene, KcPresh will always be remembered for this tune that rocked the dance floor way back.

11. Kukere -Iyanya
Iyanya destroyed lots of waists with song. Nobody can forget in a hurry the influence this song has on all classes of individuals, not to talk of its special ‘etighi’ dance steps.

12. Skelewu rmx -Davido
This song needs no introduction. Released in 2013, the song gained so much influence that it also came with a special dance that spread throughout the world.
