Pop star, Yemi Alade made her country proud at the 2016 MTV Mama Award when she picked up the Best Female Act in Africa award. Despite her controversial speech where she threw shots at President Buhari by stating on stage that women don't only belong to the 'Other Room', she has been applauded by many for winning the award back to back(2015&2016).

She posed with her manager and boyfriend, Taiye Aliyu and her mother as she showed off the award, while in another photo, the 'Na Gode' singer is pictured with her mum and popular comic rapper, Falz.
