I just bumped into this. The whole of Yorubaland is most underdeveloped in Nigeria after the north of Nigeria.
75% of Yoruba land is dotted with mud house settlements without basic infrastructures like running water, electricity, telephone communication services, asphalt roads.

In the old eastern region, it's hard to see mudhouse settlements, the type that looks like mini urban settlements in all of Yoruba land.

Lagos is a cosmopolitan city owned by Nigerians and whose urban sprawl was as a result of being once capital city of Nigeria.
