Well bro... Thanks. I have enough proof that it has everything to do with being a Nigerian. Everything was going fine, he was willing to do the deal right and asked for my bank details But since I did that he has not responded.

I have lost a chance to go home with $4000 this year if not for my location. When they ask for prove, they go cold after getting it. I sold bassenergy dot Com to a company that since last year refused to respond to my email because I used a broker and the buyer specifically told the broker she was afraid of dealing with me directly.

I am no longer a Nigerian after this one is solved.

really feel for you man..hopefully it will work out in your favour.
we never can tell the buyer might be busy..

I think this will work when next you are at the point of closing a deal.
"Would you like us to use escrow or I transferred the domain to you before you make payment?"
they will always opt in for escrow, which will save the deal irrespective of country

after a lot of follow ups..
one of them tell me that he thinks it is scam. Also,
recently almost lost a deal because escrow is not supporting Nigeria..( I was like y?)..but with God grace the deal was saved when I offer to push the domain to the buyer..so many of them just to speak of few..

I just wish that bad impression about Nigeria in peoples mind will be erased .

I don't think your case has anything to do with being or residing in Nigeria. If you doubt snatch Vegas.com and see if you won't sell it for $1m in less than an hour of your listing it in any market place.
Rather than looking for a "professional American" to help close your deal which is very risky; you should be professional by using the established market places or escrow services like Payoneer. I think Abdullah Abdullah gave you a sound advice along same lines.
In your outbound proposals direct your prospective end users to bid for your domain in the market place where you have listed them. All the best in your Sales.
I used to think like this before until I read about "Nigeria scam" I further googled it and read terrible things and scamming tactics about doing business with a Nigerian. Since I have re- strategised, I have sold more domains in the last 45 days ever since I started domaining.

Till today. An average American believes that EVERY Nigerian is scammer.

On having Vegas.com if you're a Nigerian, if they like it, they will underprice it.

I normally report them when I have chance. seems I will start cautioning them openly. Really surprised why some people are like this.

It is not possible to trust Nigerians with the level of scamming online. I mentioned it here sometime ago when someone openly replied me that "they are been told not deal any business with any Nigerians because of fraudulent practices" and people thought it was untruth, but you can now see what is going on.

The main place for Nigerians to sell domains are on marketplace. First submit your domains to marketplace and write outbound mails and direct them to your marketplace and by so doing; sales can go well (that is, if you must do out bounding marketing) because the marketplaces will serve as a trusting medium. Even if you are selling for less than $200; it is better to use marketplace listing.

People are afraid of Nigerians like snakes online because of bad characters which we are fun of. Even as we are writing Nigerians are still playing bad games online and how do you think people will have any trust on us? Bad groups contaminates good characters, Show me your friends and we can easily identifies whom you are! That is Nigerians for you.

Cheers and good luck

He sent emails but buyer refused to reply. Then he set up escrow via payoneer but buyer still didnt move.

So, I just created Godaddy buy now link for the same price and sent it to him but stated clearly that if he does not respond between now and monday, the domain name will be remove.

The name involve is Global Truck Sales dot com

Well, I never really wanted to sell for $800, I wanted higher. So if he does not respond, I will increase the price and forget about it

Guys please what's the advantage in auctioning a domain and putting the domain at a BIN price

I think the advantage is that it might sell faster but i think make offer is the best option. Reason is if the intending buyer is one that knows the value of a domain name at first sight, your BIN price might be too low for what the domain is worth and that would make him or her buy almost immediately. But if you list as Make Offer, you might be surprised at the offers you get for the name and if you're not satisfied you can always counter the offer. But all in all, it all depends on the value of the name. Just my own opinion though
