Chevron roundabout, Lekki, Lagos was turned to a tourist center this evening when a woman brought to that place, a very big tortoise for sale. It was a stress reliever after work for people(some chevron staff inclusive) as they gathered to watch the tortoise which was making every effort to escape if when it was tied.

The picture sef is distressing. Why turn the animal upside down like that if still alive and pls return it to its habitat joor! Its not a tortoise its a turtle belongs to water.

There's a conservation centre sponsored by chevron just a few metres from that spot. Why not take the turtle there?

Chai! The educational standard in niaja is so bad that people can't differentiate between animals living in water from the ones on land. Is it that this OP hasn't seen the image of a tortoise before,or doesn't know the difference between both?...lol. Tomorrow,someone would come here and post pics of an aligator,as a crocodile.

Sea turtle are very scarce and endangered species,they are not much in the sea again it should be return back to the water in a same environment,but here there is hunger in the land.nawao
