The popular staff bus routes are Satalite towns that is where most civil servants stays, in that case I recommend kubwa. However I think he may get self-contained at 300k around zones but he may not like it.

The trick is some house inside town are not fancy and comfortable but expensive while Satalite towns have beautiful houses but cheap.
It all depends on choice.

So let him come, linked him with couples of agents and he will make his choice.
Can you please help me compare the rent for selfcontained in these areas for 1 year.

The price range is abit poor

You can only get that price in satellite town.

I will recommend JAHI.
Is a bit closer than Kubwa axis/ Lugbe axis/ don't even mention Maraba

Traffic there will make him loose his job.

Moreover Abijan Street is in Zone 3. Unless he has a private Car he will spend a lot shuttling between

Any of the above places and working place.

So if he can just add 50k I.e 300k

He can get one in zone 3.

If he doesn't know how to,

Just let me know, I will give him contact of someone who will help him do that.

Please my younger bro is moving to Abj. Just a 24 years old. bachelor. Where can he get a good self contain b/w 200&250 with good or fair power supply. The office he is resuming at is on Abidjan Street. Seunfly please help too.
based on economic constrain, the option i would suggest is durumi... Its not the finest part of abuja... But for 150-200 u will get a sef con, and if it has a window A/C slot, he can install it for cheap (fairly used). Or use fan instead,. Now... For commuting.. Durumi still has okada sef... Okada from durumi to area 3 junction is 50naira...i think from area 3 (or area 1 junction) you can get transit to almost any part of abuja.. From area 3 junction to zone 3 no suppose pass 100naira.

Broadview Estate Lugbe, will soon be the best. Just watch out. For more enquiry, call Joseph 08063319323. Is still very much affordable. Get a plot now that and enjoy a 5% Xmas discount and a #10,000 voucher to shop in any shoprite mall. We still have in Karshi, and Kuje with installment plans

Life camp 300k
Kado 300k
Dutse Alhaji 50k

You forgot to tell us that rent for a 3 bedroom bungalow in Lokogoma goes for about 1.5million per year.
N1.5million! That is some peoples' rent for ten years in other parts of the country!
It is obvious that most areas in Abuja are only for the rich.

Apart from Peggy's pointe where rents are paid in thousands of dollars, these estates mentioned will not be in Abuja's top 20. And 1.5 million for a three bedroom flat in Abuja is dirt cheap. Rents in Abuja are mind boggling and unrealistic. It's more like daylight robbery, people work hard only for landlords to collect everything at the end of the day, people can't even save.

Haba which place for Nigeria, you go rent 3bedroom flat for 10years with 1.5m... maybe for ijebu ode
Don't just quote someone for the fun of doing so, the young man is so right, my dad stays in a 3 bedroom flat in a highbrow area of Zaria, GRA, in Kaduna State, with a sitting room almost as big as a football bitch, and guess what!!! His rent is only #150k per annum, so get ur facts right, I stay in a self con in Kubwa, my rent is almost twice of my dad's.
