Henry watched Gen. Okafor talk on the podium. They were having a little ceremony to celebrate his recovery and most especially, his promotion to being a Captain.

Gen. Okafor said his praises of Henry. All what was said was good enough to make Henry's head swell. But it didn't. Henry wasn't smilling.

Him former squad team surviving members were present along with Shindara. He had ignored her for the past two months now. Trina was doing a good job at barring Shindara from reaching him.

He couldn't stand someone who double dates. 'I should have known Danladi will always have the lead whe it comes to girls'

He turned to look at the people present in the hall and his eyes met with Shindara's. She had been looking at him since.

He wanted to wink and give her the naughty smile but he restrained himself. She was looking very beautiful and smart in her cammo. She had finished her training and was now a sergeant. All Henry did during the ceremony of her promotion was simply congratulating her.

For the brief second that their eyes met, Henry felt disgusted at the innocent look of Shindara.

He heard the announcer call him up to the podium. He broke the eye contact and walked smartly up the podium to Gen. Okafor. A star was tagged to his uniform and he was asked to give a speech.

He touched the tip of the microphone and cleared his throat.

Shindara got back to the clinic with the pap she had prepared for Henry. She noticed that nurses were rushing in and out of the room, Henry's room. She saw Tony standing outside looking worried. She rushed up to him worried as hell


"Tony, what happened?'' She asked dropping the nylon bag that had the pap in it beside her.

"I don't know. That witch showed him some stuffs and said some crazy things about you and he packed up. She's always evil'' Tony said.

"What?!Who's the witch?''

""That Trina na'' Tony stamped his feet.

"Calm down. Tell me what happened.''Shindara said calmly. She had worried enough for that week. Henry would make it. She was positive.

"She said somethings about you being unloyal. Like you're a flirt or something''

"What? I mean... How come?'' Shindara was gobsmacked. Her relationship with Henry was barely two hours old and husband snatchers were already showing up. "And Henry believed it?''

"She had evidence on her phone. I think a picture of you with someone...... Aunt Shindara, I hope its false. " Tony was willing to believe Shindara.

"Ofcourse it's false." Shindara was quick to respond.

Shindara heard the nurses struggling with someone in the room. Soon the doors flung open and Trina was pushed out of the room for disturbing the medical process. Trina's eyes were bloodshot with tears. She ran back to the door and watched the doctors work on Henry through the glass frame. She hadn't taken note of Shindara's presence.

Trina held her broken phone in one hand and scooped her hair backwards as she sniffed. She looked to her right to see Shindara and Tony watching her with frowns on their face. Trina broke into a sinister smile that cut through her cheeks.

"If it isn't the b1tch.'' Trina said while walking nearer to Shindara who stood her ground.

"I don't know why you are against me Trina. I don't want to know but stop all these. What do you hope to gain?'' Shindara replied calmly and crossed her hands over her chest in a confident manner. She was a strong girl, she wouldn't flinch in fear for this red-haired lady.

"I'm doing this for Henry. He deserves someone loyal not someone who sleeps with every tom, dick and harry or his childhood friend'' Trina replied. She was now face to face with Shindara.

"what are you talking about?''

"Don't play dumb. You think I didn't see you melt in Danladi's hands three hours ago? Face it... You're a disgrace to womanhood''

Shindara laughed a bit. '' That's hillarious coming from someone like you who is married but keeps chasing d1cks up and down the Camp. I won't have you tell me what womanhood is all about, you're not qualified to do so. About Danladi. You saw wrong. Your eyes ,must have been dancing in their sockets to see me melting.

You are just one cheap lonely jealous no good coquette'' Shindara replied. She was barely leeping herself from hitting Trina. She was like a volcano waiting to erupt at any given chance.

Trina opened her mouth in shock at the insults. She saw Shindara turning to walk away. She saw red and pulled Shindara back. In a flash, Trina smarted her palm hard on Shindara's cheek.

"don't you dare speak to me that way, you lowlife'' Trina screamed.
"I am the generals wifee goddamni.....'' She was stopped by a thunderclap backhand slap from Shindara and the slap was strong enough to send Trina sprawling on the ground. Trina's cheek became red instantly. Trina stood up from the ground holding her cheek. She was desperately trying to look bold but the tears running sown her cheek betrayed her.

"Leave my boyfriend alone. Thank God we're both women. I'll slap you over and over again'' Shindara warned Trina and turned pulling Tony along.

"That was awesome. Your slap is heavenly'' Tony hailed Shindara as they walked to the doctors office.

[b]It shocked Shindara the next morning when she came to visit Henry. The nurses wouldn't let her even smell the door to Henry's room. She had thought it was some big mistake or maybe a prank on her but everything seemed real when the nurses called two security officers to escort Shindara out. Her eyes betrayed her as no tear dropped down her cheek. She decided to go visit Trina. Maybe to confront her or talk her into leaving Henry alone. Little did she know it was a big bad Idea.

"Trina. Morning , I'm off to work now'' Gen. Okafor announced as he stepped out of his room after eating the food he prepared.

"Okay. Honey, how about the guard I asked for?'' Trina came into the living room face to face Okafor.

Okafor gasped at her. It was like she was punched by hulk. Her left cheek was redder than the ripest strawberry and indescribably swollen.
"By jove! Who did this to you Trina?'' Okafor dropped his suitcase and rushed to meet her. He held her cheek delicately and examined it.

Trina scoffed at his show of concern. Who was he trying to decieve by showing affection? Tah. Soon he'd be raining punches on me. Stupid man.

"I ran into a pole'' Trina replied taking her eyes away from Okafors'

"Are you sure? Then why do you need a body guard? You fought with someone yesterday night?''

"Baby'' She rubbed his chest '' That's why I need a body guard.... To keep me from running into poles''

"You should stay out of trouble dear, the bodyguard is outside. I'm late for work. See you at night'' Okafor kissed her on the forehead and walked out to face the muscular guy waiting outside the house smoking a cigarette and drinking whisky.

Shindara was certain Trina was at home. She knocked the door and waited for a reply. None came so she knocked even harder.

"Break down the door. Thank Goodness its not my cheek'' Trina replied curtly from inside but didnt open up.'' what do you want?''

"I've come to talk'' Shindara replied looking at the security camera placed at the top corner of the door. She adjusted her cammo face cap on her head. She looked like a badassc tomboy in her fitted cammo and boots. Her long black hair fell behind her from under her face cap.

"come in.'' Trina said.

'well, that was easy' Shindara thought and stepped into the living room.

Trina was seated on the sofa with her legs crossed. Her swollen cheek looked like an ostrich'es egg.

"Good morning'' Shindara greeted and her eyes fell on the ostrich egg on Trina's face '' I'm sorry for the slap. I was brought up better. Can I sit?''

"You're a soldier. You can stand.
Talking about my cheek. You know very well you're on my property and I can do whatever I wish to you'' Trina rolled her middle finger in circles with one evil smile in the corner of her lips.

'it's not like you can beat me up' Shindara thought.

"Look Trina. I've not come to argue with you. I've only come to apologise and tell you it's not wise for us to fight over Henry. I've decided to let him be. If I'm destined to be his, he'll come for me. You can have him''

Trina's eyes popped out in schock. Her shock slowly turned into a smile then laughter.

"You never did love him
Guess what dear, as long as you're alive or around, he'll never take his eyes off you. So you see? Letting him go doesnt mean he'll be mine''

"That's all I've come to say. Goodbye'' Shindara turned to leave.

"you are going nowhere!!!'' Trina screamed. Rheno came out from behind the door and slammed it shut. Shindara stepped back in fear as Rheno took giant steps towards her.

Shindara swallowed and gulped at the mountain sized man towering above her.

"you are going no where'' Trina said again in a scary voice.[/b]
