I observed that I always lose weight, thirsty, feel hungry, have headache and feel tired most times, urinate frequently and its usually foams. So I went to do fasting glucose test, and the result was 141mg/dl
. The Medical Lab Scientist advised me to see a dr immediately. She said it is pre-diabetes. Mum and Dad are both diabetic. Can a 27 year old have it? anytime I eat carbohydrate meal it gets worse.
What can I do pls? I don't want such a thing

My brother, these are indeed some of the telling symptoms of diabetes especially as both parents have it. However it could also be a pointer to some sort of issues with your urinary system especially inflections.
I'd advice that you go ahead and do a urinalysis(test) then let us know about the result.
PS: Its also safe if you begin now to make necessary lifestyle adjustments to your diet. Avoid or limit as much as possible, refined sugars in it's many forms.

Thanks. Recently, my gf went to the hospital because of pains in her stomach all the time. She did some tests and scan and it was revealed that she has candida albican and the doctor prescribed fluconazole and some other drugs and also told her to tell me to use the fluconazole since we usually have unprotected sex. Could this also be part of it?

Just do the urine tests ( urinalysis and urine m/c/s). We'd take it up from there

The lumefantrine component of Lumatem is known to cause palpitations(racing heart) and occasional dizziness(esp if you didn't eat prior to taking the drug) in a few persons.
You maybe one of the few.
You would do well to visit a hospital and be properly checked up.
Meanwhile, get something to eat, drug prescription is out it on this forum.

Diabetes and open wound, is simply a bad combination. A blood count, antibiotic treatment and proper wound dressing is required.
Your Dad needs to visit a hospital urgently, to avoid further infections, gangarin or sepsis............
NB: If medical attention is not sought urgently, the risk of amputation is real

Hello house. I been feeling internal tiredness for about 2 years now. I've done scan to check my liver, kidney and bladder, all were OK. I've done blood count tests too, all were confirmed OK. I even did urinalysis and urine culture test, Staphylococcus was found there. I was given cefuroxime tablet which I used. But the fatigue persists. Now my urine is foamy and yellow most times and my mouth is usually dry.
Also have an ear infection for a very long time now which itches, even after ear Syringing which flushed out candida.
Doctors abeg help o

Good afternoon house. Please I have headache from toothache and it is seriously bothering me. Although it is not too severe, I am feeling feverish, had a yellow urine. I have been to dentists, but only C and S was done. It is one particular tooth (left upper premolar) so I wouldn't know what's wrong with that tooth. What do you suggest?

You need to remove the tooth

I have been suffering from uti for the past 1year. Some months ago I went to the FMC in my state, was prescribed auroxetil 500mg for 5days now, I finished the dosage but still no changes. Some weeks ago I saw a herbal drug for uti named perfecin, bought the pills and I've been taking it for about 5weeks but until now I am still feeling the same symptoms. I urinate up to 8times at work between the hours of 8am and 5 pm. I find myself wearing sanitary pads to work every day to avoid my panties getting wet with urine while at work. I am so fed up with this condition and don't know what else to do.

Hello house, thanks for this insightful post. Not sure if there's any specialist to help.

Lately about a month ago, I began to have this lower back pain at my left side body coupled around my waist. well, I googled and I found out the possible cause which could be either kidney infection or kidney Stone. I proceeded to my school clinic (undergraduate students) , where the doc requested for a urinalysis, blood test and one other test which I barely remember the term.
Afterwards, the results were all negative; no symptoms of kidney stone/infection. she however, proceeded to referring me to another Specialist clinic for Abdomino pelvic Scan; The result was also negative. The scan report was stated as, I quote

"The right kidney is normal in shape (RT- 10.5cm x 5.09cm x 7.10cm) while the left kidney is mildly enlarged (LT - 11.87cm x 6.84cm x 6.85cm). Both kidneys are however normal in shape, position, outline and echopattern with good cortico-medullary differentiation. The pelvi-calyceal systems are no dilated. No renal Cyst, mass or calculus is seen".

That was the report. Doctor assured me nothing is wrong and recommended that whenever I feel pain, I should take pain relief medicine.
Note- The diagnosis covers-
Liver
kidney
gall bladder
Git
Urinary bladder.
(which were all Negative Reports)

Afterwards, I decided to go for another urinanlysis elsewhere, in a laboratory Result interpreted by the doctor was still negative.

Puss cells - pale and amber
Blood- Negative
Bilirubin- negative
urobilinogen- normal
ketone- negative
glucose- negative
protein- negative
nitrite- negative
leucocytes- negative
pH -7.0
specific gravity- 1.010

That was my Urinanalysis result else where, outside the school clinic.

Well, to consolidate the negative confirmation of this report, I probably need a final check up to reassure me that all is well. Aside from Abdominal pelvic diagnosis and Urinanalysis which I did, what else is recommended? Is there also a need for a routine check up like the aforementioned?

Please, doctors in the house should help. can't afford to gamble this. I need to be 100% sure. What's your suggestion(s) please?

Thanks in proxy.

Mamziii how do you know that what you have is UTI? Apart from the excessive urination, what other symptoms have you observed? What tests have you done?

You either go back to the dentist and lay your complain or you check on a different dentist.
Ideally you should have an xray of the jaw done to know exactly whats wrong with the tooth.
The gum and tooth may already be infected, hence, the feverish condition.
That's a red flag sign, do not waste time.

Morgang, visit another hospital and get checked. Based on the findings he would tell you what tests are necessary.
