Diabolical is what they told you your culture is before snatching it off your hand. Then they filled your head with movies. Christianity is more pagan than any other religion.

Ok i guess we should all go back to human sacrifice and killing of twins since we really want to retain our cultures and make sure u drop everything that belongs to the white man away from your lives including the gadget u are using to type.
U guys should be realistic for once.
Many European societies used to be barbarians in the past, but they began to progress once they dropped their regressive cultures. They only retained the progressive elements of their cultures and that is what we are supposed to do too.

Show me any advanced and progressive country in the world that holds on to diabloical customs and ritual festivals as part of their nationality!
Most progressive countries apart from those in the Arabian gulf are rapidly dropping culture and religion as a whole.

one of the top advanced countries like China has also dropped their culture I guess or does the Chinese holding on to their culture make them backward?

Nobody is telling you to go diabolical or kill humans for sacrifice, but simply refine it like everywhere else in the whole... Pick the best part of your culture and promote it(just for the fun of it) like Halloween...

The annoying thing is how you people react and sound whenever you see our cultures and traditions being displayed... It's just too annoying... I'm sure in the nearest future Africans(Nigerians) will start observing/celebrating Halloween.

You are deluded.
The earlier you realize, the better for you. Folks like you will even teach their children foreign languages instead of your mother tongue and will say that our mother tongue is from Satan too. I weep for you.

Hundreds of Aguleri villagers gathered for spiritual cleansing and prayers at the Omambala River in Anambra state to celebrate the Eri Festival. The villagers underwent special prayers before being dipped into the river for the cleansing as depicted in the pictures.

The Eri festival / Olili-Obibia-Eri is an Ancient festival celebrated by Ezeora Kings. This remarkable festival has been observed from the ancient times on the 8th native/Igbo month of the year, onwa-isato, in memory of Eri’s journey and subsequent settlement.

The myth
When Eri was sent by Chukwu from the Sky to the earth, he sat on an ant-hill because he saw watery marshy earth. When Eri complained to Chukwu, he (Chukwu) sent an Awka blacksmith with his fiery bellows and charcoal to dry the earth. After the assignment, the Awka blacksmith was given ọfọ as a mark of authority for his smithing profession. While Eri lived, Chukwu fed him and his people with azu-igwe. But this special food ceased after the death of Eri. Nri, one of his sons complained to Chukwu for food. Chukwu ordered Nri to sacrifice his first son and daughter and bury them in separate graves. Nri complied with it. Later after three-Igbo-weeks (Izu atọ = 12 days) yam grew from the grave of the son and coco yam from that of the daughter. When Nri and his people ate these, they slept for the first time; later still Nri killed a male and a female slave burying them separately. Again, after Izu Ato, an oil palm grew from the grave of the male slave, and a bread fruit tree (ukwa) from that of the female-slave. With this new food supply, Nri and his people ate and prospered. Chukwu asked him to distribute the new food items to all people but Nri refused because he bought them at the cost of sacrificing his own children and slave. Nri and Chukwu made an agreement. According to M. D. W. Jeffreys (1956:123) a tradition has it that:

"As a reward for distributing food to the other towns Nri would have the right of cleansing every town of an abomination (nso) or breach, and of tying the Ngulu (ankle cords) when a man takes the title of ozo. Also he and his successor’s would have the privilege of making the Oguji, or yam medicine, each year for ensuring a plentiful supply of yams in all surrounding towns, or in all towns that subjected themselves to the Eze Nri. For this medicine all the surrounding towns would come in and pay tribute and Umunmdri people then could travel unarmed through the world and no one would attack or harm them" [3]

Jesus Christ is Lord, he has paid with his blood, God is always angry with anyone who worship idol after sacrificing his only son for your Sake.
(Exo 23:22-25) nothing pays like serving God, give your life to Christ today and your story shall never remain the same.

So tha means Awka people existed before the beginning of creation. This story does not follow logic. The presence of An Awka blacksmith means Awka traders and fishermen must have also existed. Except Awka blacksmith means something else.

THE FACTS

From historical findings, Eri from Israel was the fifth son of Gad, the seventh son of Jacob (Genesis 46:15-18 and Numbers 26:16:18). He migrated from Egypt with a group of companions just before the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt many centuries ago.

They travelled by water and finally arrived at the confluence of Ezu and Omabala (Anambra) Rivers, located in present-day Aguleri, where, according to oral tradition, it was spiritually or divinely revealed to Eri that the point was to be their final destination and settlement. They moved into the hinterland and settled in the present-day Aguleri...

What u are saying is exactly what am saying. I support we Africans promoting and reforming our progreesive cultures to make it look fascinating and appealing to others but i can never support a spiritual ritual festival like above which involves deities. God forbid.
We have to drop all regressive practices like idolatory or all practices involving gods and godesses.
