If you arrived the U.S illegally or overstayed your visa, you are a CRIMINAL. The U.S for most part has been lenient on this issue for many years but now there is a business man in charge fueled by a strong urge for change by the American people. First step towards making the country great again is to remove the illegals, criminals and leeches from the system.

How do people enter Illegally?

Some people cross the land border without documents. They don't go through immigration checkpoint. They just walk across in areas that are not fully patrolled by immigration officers. You will find this along the southern US Mexican border. That's why Trump is talking about putting up a wall.

Well, immigration violation is a civil matter, not a criminal one in the US

Take your anger to your village if you have tried America Visa severally and you are refused you don't need to flex your anger on those who are lucky to be US its you that need to go back to your village and ask them who are covering your glory or your chance to enter plane to another man land. I guess you must be Hausa or Fulani because they always reason upside down because if not you will pity those who went their out of frustration and hopelessness situation in Nigeria or in their country, you will think and pity those who their parent sold all they got to send them to US and you are praying for them to be return with nothing, you would have pity those ones who are genuinely seeking hope and better life for their generation.

The law is the law, even though they are too young to be willful participants in the crime. Their parents would face deportation and the children would be deported along with the parents unless they've reached the age of 18 in which case they can file an appeal. Remember if laws are to be enforced the way they were written, there would be no room for emotional attachments.

You obviously don't know what you are talking about! Immigration offences are regarded as felonies and could lead to incarceration even before deportation but the lack of enforcement is what has given many the false believe that they are safe.

Well alot of them are over 18.... And most are currently taking advantage of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) which obama encouraged them to register on. They know no other place than the US. I think it's unfair to just send them back.

You ought to realize that the Senate, House of rep are lead by majority of the Republicans that support majority of Trumps decisions.
During the last Election Republicans won the Senate seat by 51 to 48 Democrats and the House of rep by 238 republicans to 193 democrats. House of rebs needs 218 for full control. America is screwed for the next four years.

Unfair, YES! Unlawful, NO! Trump has already said that within his first 100 days in office, he is going to rescind every executive order made by Obama. This means DACA will no longer exist. He also said that his priorities is to deport those with criminal records, this means that if you are a law abiding citizen even though you are illegal you won't be sent back during his first term and there's a belief that he is going to work with Congress to develop an action plan for the illegals who are not criminals, this might mean getting green cards that have to be renewed every 2 or 3 years. If we listened only to the biased media, we would all want to kill Trump but when you actually read the man's proposal and look at his history of businesses, you can't help but to be amazed!

Sir, I get that if an undocumented immigrant commits a crime, he/she would be arrested and possibly prosecuted.

But the very act of an immigrant entering the US without proper documentation or overstaying a visa isn't a criminal offense, according to US law.

Removal (deportation) proceedings before an immigration judge are not regarded as criminal proceedings; that's why petitioners (the affected immigrant in question) are not entitled to the services of an attorney, just like civil cases in the US.

What immigrant are doing in America is not small, both skilled and unskilled...I'm sure Trump will start that wall but he won't finish it. Trump that already said that after meeting Obama, he will leave some part policies of Obama care
