Why do you dirt poor stark illiterates with poverty mentality always feel the need to give an opinion on issues above ya mental capacity?

Is the king responsible for improving the standard of living and education? If the state governor and Booharry can't do both for you scroungers, that is ya prerogative.

The king is the custodian of Yoruba culture/tradition and he's doing what he's meant to do. If you don't like it, you can blow ya fvcking brain off and take eternal L in hell. FOH.

Tourist destination? Where is the infrastructure on ground to accomodate the tourists? Village Ife with its delapidated roads and hotels? Little power supply? Zero shopping malls?

Stop contradicting yourself, Tourism generates billions no doubt, but saying moremi's statue will generate million of dollars from tourism is a SHAM.

thesicilian:

A well established tourism sector in any country generates billions of dollars a year. Nigeria has a lot of tourists attractions, all we need is proper management.

gringrin Angry Bird. Look how bitter he sounds. You must be a frustrated and bitter individual offline.

What affiliation does a cloned statue of liberty have with the Yoruba culture? Ignorance is your issue.

Lol, pointing the four fingers at yourself, no? A joke will always write itself, fvcking low IQ having plonker. grin

Who's the bitter and frustrated one between the hungry dirt poor one who's crying about food, standard of living, and education on a thread about a king doing what he is meant to do - and the one who told him to shut the fvck up cos the king isn't responsible for that? I bet ya peasized warped brain won't be able to demystify that, even if you tried.

Hunger and anger go hand in hand and it is evident in how bitter and frustrated you sounded with that inane post, begging for food on a thread about culture and a king doing his job. grin

FOH and go scrounge for food somewhere else.

In basic 7, pupils are taught trade and aids to trade, I don't think you attended school at all for you to ask this kind of question. Of you actually attended school and still you are unable to find answer to your childish question then there are two options things involved.
You are either driven by hatred or you are technically deprived of reasoning

Its the big picture bro (or sis), no part of an engine works in isolation. Moremi's statue, the war museum Susan Wenger's Shrine, Erin Ijesha Waterfalls, Ife Bronze, Oranmiyan staff, etc. All these are places in Osun state alone, loaded with history and culture.
Just watch, before a few months time, even this Xmas period self, a lot of small scale businesses would have sprung up in that area, just because of that statue and the people coming in to see it.

jonhemma11:
"Moremi Ajasoro " - unveiled.

Ooni of Ife yesterday unveiled the tallest statue in Nigeria Moremi Ajasoro. It is 42 feet tall with 30 risers. It is the tallest statue in Nigeria and the 3rd tallest in Africa.

It is constructed right on the spot Moremi lived several centuries of years ago. It is 100 percent locally constructed by Nigerian engineers and  youths sourced with sole  Nigerian materials.

At 161 feet, African Renaissance Monument in Dakar, Senegal, is the tallest statue in Africa, then the Great Sphinx of Giza in Egypt which is 66 feet.
Moremi Ajasoro statue of Liberty in Ile- Ife , Nigeria at 42 feet is now the third tallest in Africa.

Ramesses II in Egypt at 30 feet, is the fourth tallest. Nelson Mandela Union Building in South Africa has a 28 feet statue and is the fifth tallest in the continent and Jesus Satue in Owerri Nigeria the fifth as well.

Oh guys please.......
Must everything be about food and hunger......
If u are hungry, get ur lazy ass off the seat and go look for work.....
Stop blaming a king for your failure to achieve something meaningful with ur life......
The king is the custodian of culture and traditions and he's doing just that.......
Direct your anger and frustration elsewhere and leave the king alone.

I hope this will remind our pseudo feminists who parrot Oyinbo's idiocy that African women are oppressed & were always. Africa has always produced great women. Like Moremi, Idia, Amina, Efunroye (Tinubu) and many more lost to history now.

For our independence struggle we have Funmilayo, Eniola (Soyinka), Margret (Ekpo), Mary (Okezie), Hajia Gambo Sawaba, etc.

I deliberately use their first name because I think they ought to be popular and household names and be instantly recognisable even by first name. The name they were called playing around & growing up as little girls. Much like Beyonce is known everywhere even by just first name.

How will that develop ile-ife?
That place is just so dry, the last ooni didn't try o, he spent 30years on the throne and ile-ife didn't develop much, and we heard he has companies of great value

He was just too arrogant without anything to back it up.

Nigerians need to start reading and getting more exposure. The level ignorance on display on this thread all in the name of religion and ethnic bigotry is alarming.
FYI, people travel to Cambodia, Bali and Borobudur in Indonesia and other relatively unknown places just to see Buddhist temples and statues like these. Those people are not much better economically than us, but they are annexing what they have in terms of touristic attractions to make millions of dollars each year.
All our governments need to do now is to showcase what we have to the world through the internet and woo foreigners and locals to come and explore what we have.

Don't waste ya time on that illiterate faggit, he is an Eboe cannibal (I just checked his post history). Apart from cannibalism; sodomising little kids like the thread on FP; molesting little girls; and pure phaggotry - these flat headed monsters don't have a culture.

These clowns just erected a big statue of white Mary last year when all over Rome and in the Vatican, they pray to a black Madonna. They're an accursed people lol. But they want to hate on a great statue that represents history and can be used for tourism.

Eboe cannibals are just useless and primitive. They're the real homo habilis from the Hominini tribe. grin

A statue & an idol are 2 different things. We don't have nearly enough statues in this country (only fashola really tried and put up several around Lagos state).

It's a way to educate, celebrate, mourn or acknowledge heroes & ur history. You clearly have never been to Washington, Paris, London or any other reasonable city/town in d world. Even football stadiums put up statues showcasing their heroes.
