What You Will Consider When Finding The Right Washing Machine by PascalEgens: 9:35pm On Nov 25, 2016
No matter how hard we try to be sparkling clean, our clothes will always be dirty. Our clothes are simply not just meant to cover unclothedness, but to absorb dirtiness. So whether you want to get a new washing appliance or for knowledge sake, here are tips on choosing the right washing machine that will suit your apartment, family and your lifestyle.

You can follow this site www.homeaplik.com to know more about home appliances and the latest home appliances

First is to consider the load. There is a Top-Load Washing Machine and a Front-Load Washing Machine

Top-Load Washing Machine are those you need to put your laundry from the top of the machine and it has agitator models which cost less and are faster than the non-agitator models, which can be called High-Efficiency (HE) Washing machines. HE washers are good at cleaning, gentler on fabrics, use less water, and have larger capacities. They also spin faster, which removes more water and spends less time in drying. However, the spinning can tangle clothes. Also some HE washers can be very deep.

You load your laundry in the Front-Load washer by opening the door in the front of the washer. Most times you need to bend to properly load your clothes. However, they are the more expensive washers. The best front-loaders clean better and are gentler than the best HE top-loading washing machines while using less water. Front-loaders take longer than HE top-loaders, but spin faster, extracting more water and cutting dryer time. The high-spin speed, combined with the way they spin, can cause some washing machines to vibrate. Thankfully, our concrete floors majorly seen in African homes can absorb vibrations well, unlike wood-framed floors. Note that some front-load washing machines develop mold from water collecting in the folds of the rubber gasket on the machine opening. Therefore, it is advisable to leave the door of the washer open after usage for proper aeration.

Secondly, Know Your Available Space.

Whether you live in an apartment or a flat, sizing up the space to place the washing machine is necessary. If you are seriously limited in space, size should matter. If you’re putting your washer near bedrooms or the family room, consider the ones that pollute less noise. You’ll know they’re working but they shouldn’t disturb you. However, many manufacturers have reduced the vibrations of front-load washing machines.

Thirdly, Know the Capacity.

If you are into laundry services, you might be considering a washer of 6.2 cubic foot capacity which can hold up to 28 full-size bath towels. But if the clothes to wash in your home are often not that much, a 4.2 and 5.1 cubic feet which should hold 17 to 21 bath towels respectively, can enter your list. Also, at 3.3 to 4.2 cubic feet, 14 to 17 bath towels should fit.

Fourthly, Mind the Features.

In this our technology age, features should matter in every appliance we are buying. Take Steam for example. A washer with steam setting improves the washer’s stain removal. In Africa, we get dirty easily due to prevailing conditions, a steam feature in our washing machines should be a must have. However, the more the features, the higher the prices.

Other features are:

Automatic Dispensers: Designed to dispense detergent, bleach, and fabric softener at the right time, some washing machines can even hold up to several months’ worth of detergent.
Automatic Temperature Control: Rather than simply mixing hot and cold water in preset proportions, auto temperature control adjusts the water to the optimal temperature for the setting selected.
Extra Rinse Cycle: Front-loaders and high-efficiency top-loaders use a lot less water than top-loader agitator washing machines. Using the extra rinse cycle can help get rid of stubborn dirt and detergent residues that just can’t let go.
Washers that the inside/tub are made of Stainless Steel can withstand higher spin speeds, extracting more water and cutting dryer time.
End-of-Cycle-Signal alerts you that your laundry is done and clean.
Note however, that these tips have not exhausted all you need to know about washing machines. There will be more classes on this interesting home appliance.

] what detergent available in Nigeria is recommended for front load washing machine? i learned that some detergent can foam heavily and lead to sud accumulation in the machine which can also result in the machine fault/damage.
