News of his death came this morning Fidel Castro, the Cuban revolutionary leader who built a communist state on the doorstep of the United States and for five decades defied US efforts to topple him, died on Friday. Castro was an icon. He revolutionized Cuba's healthcare, to be one of the best in the world. He defied America's imperialism and crushed the Bay of Pig's invasion. He was Cuba's Che Guevara. RIP |
