Tean News – Barcelona vs Real Madrid Possible Lineups (Predictions 2016)

FC Barcelona will be hosting Real Madrid for the El Classico this Saturday, 03 December 2016 at the Camp Nou. Real Madrid can stretch their lead at top of the La Liga to 9 points if they can beat Barcelona this weekend while it makes must win for Barcelona who will be looking to reduce the gap at top of the table to just 3 points and finally end Real Madrid’s unbeaten run

Real Madrid will be taking on FC Barcelona in what will be the highlight of this weekends sports schedule. Football matches don’t come bigger than this and even though its relatively early in the season but a win for Real Madrid will really put them out of sight as far as title race is concerned in spain.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid Preview & Team News:Real Madrid go into the big El Classico on the back of a record breaking run and the most inform team in Europe. 31 games unbeaten in the league. Since Zidane’s took charge of the team midway through the last season, they have only lost once in his 33 games in charge winning 27 and drawing 5.

Both teams are likely to have full squads to choose from and all the main players from both sides returned from their international duty injury free. Real Madrid are likely to start with Karim Benzema upfront while Ronaldo, Bale and Rodriquez to start in attacking roles. this is how I expect both teams to lineup on Saturday, 03 December 2016.

Official team lineups will be confirmed couple of hours of ahead of the kickoff and we will update the page with latest team news and lineups closer to the kickoff

BARCELONA TEAM NEWS: INJURIES, SUSPENSIONS AND LINE-UP VS REAL MADRID

Everything you need to know about the Catalans' preparations for the Clasico clash at Camp Nou on Saturday
The time has almost arrived. With their Copa del Rey clash away to Hercules out of the way, Barcelona will now focus their energies exclusively on the visit of Real Madrid in La Liga this weekend.

Barca trail Madrid by six points in the Primera Division after 13 rounds of matches and Saturday's meeting at Camp Nou is therefore a key fixture for Luis Enrique's side, who have drawn their last two league matches (against Malaga at home and Real Sociedad away) and also tied 1-1 at Hercules with a weakened side in the Copa on Wednesday.

However, form often means little in a Clasico and here, Goal takes a look at how the Catalans are shaping up for the famous fixture...

BARCELONA INJURIES

arcelona have a few injuries at the moment, but only Jeremy Mathieu is definitely sidelined for the Clasico clash, with Jordi Alba, Andres Iniesta and Samuel Umtiti all expected to be available for selection for the game against Real Madrid.

Umtiti returned in the Copa del Rey clash against Hercules on Wednesday night, while Iniesta has been back in training for a while following the knee injury he suffered in late October and should be involved in some capacity on Saturday.

And Alba, who was injured in last Sunday's 1-1 draw at Real Sociedad, is doubtful with ankle and knee problems. However, Barca are optimistic he will be ready for the Clasico. Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal are both back and featured against Hercules in Alicante.

BARCELONA SUSPENSIONS

Luis Suarez sat out the goalless game against Malaga the weekend before last due to suspension, but the Uruguayan striker was back for the trip to Real Sociedad last Sunday and will feature against Real Madrid on Saturday.

Neymar, meanwhile, is one booking away from a one-match ban, but avoided a yellow card on Sunday that would have seen him miss the Clasico and will start alongside Suarez and Lionel Messi this weekend.

Barca have no players suspended for the Clasico clash.

BARCELONA POTENTIAL LINE-UP

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique will want to pick his strongest side for the crunch clash with Madrid, but Andres Iniesta is likely to start on the bench after more than five weeks out with the knee injury he sustained in the 3-2 win at Valencia back on October 22. That means Andre Gomes should feature from the outset.

In defence, Samuel Umtiti also looks unlikely to start after making his comeback and looking a little rusty in the 1-1 draw at Hercules in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night. So Javier Mascherano seems set to be given the nod in central defence alongside Gerard Pique, with Jordi Alba at left-back if he has recovered from his knee and ankle problems. Otherwise, Lucas Digne will play.

The rest of the team is as expected, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen in goal, Sergi Roberto at right-back, Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic in midfield, and Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in attack.

REAL MADRID DOSSIER

Real Madrid come into the Clasico clash on good form. Zinedine Zidane's side lead La Liga by six points from Barcelona and are unbeaten in all competitions in 2016-17.

Madrid thrashed Segunda B side Cultural Leonesa 6-1 in the Copa del Rey at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night with their second string and are currently on a run of 32 games without defeat, having not lost since the 2-0 defeat away to Wolfsburg in the Champions League quarter-finals last April.

Zidane will be without the injured Gareth Bale on Saturday, while Toni Kroos and Alvaro Morata are also out and both Fabio Coentrao and Danilo are doubts. However, Casemiro is available again after making his long-awaited comeback from an ankle problem on Wednesday.

BEST OPTA MATCH FACTS

=> Barcelona have lost just three of the last 13 Clasicos they have played at home in all competitions (W7 D3).

=> Should Barcelona win this game, it would be their 50th victory over Real Madrid at home in La Liga.

=> Lionel Messi is the Clasico’s top scorer with 21 goals. However, the Argentine has gone five games without scoring against Real Madrid in all competitions, his worst such run in El Clasico.

=> No Barcelona manager has ever lost two Clasicos in a row at home.

REAL MADRID TEAM NEWS: INJURIES, SUSPENSIONS AND LINE-UP VS BARCELONA

Everything you need to know about Los Blancos' preparations for the Clasico clash at Camp Nou on Saturday

Real Madrid remain unbeaten this season. Zinedine Zidane's side sit on top of La Liga and warmed up for the trip to Barcelona at the weekend with a 6-1 win at home to Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.

Madrid lead Barca by six points in the Primera Division ahead of the Clasico at Camp Nou on Saturday and have not lost a game since their 2-0 defeat away to Wolfsburg in the Champions League last April.

That came just four days after their 2-1 win in the last Clasico and here, Goal takes a look at how they are shaping up for the next edition of the famous fixture...

REAL MADRID INJURIES

Real Madrid will be without Gareth Bale after the Welsh winger picked up an ankle injury in the 2-1 win away to Sporting CP in the Champions League last week and underwent an operation in London on Tuesday.

Toni Kroos is still sidelined as well, while Fabio Coentrao also looks set to miss out and Danilo is doubtful for the Camp Nou clash.

Better news for Zidane saw Casemiro return from a long spell out as he featured as a starter in the 6-1 win over Cultural Leonesa on Wednesday and the Brazilian now looks set to play some part in the Clasico on Saturday.

REAL MADRID SUSPENSIONS

While they have had their injury problems lately, Real Madrid have no players suspended for the Clasico clash at Camp Nou this weekend.

Captain Sergio Ramos, sent off in the last Clasico in April, was walking a suspension tightrope, though. The Spain defender is just one booking away from a ban, but came through unscathed in the 2-1 win over Sporting Gijon in La Liga last Saturday and should start in the Clasico.

REAL MADRID POTENTIAL LINE-UP

With Gareth Bale out injured, Zinedine Zidane is likely to call upon Lucas Vazquez to fill in on the right of Real Madrid's attack, with the winger likely to drop back into midfield in more of a 4-4-2 formation when Barcelona have the ball.

With Pepe having only recently returned from injury, Raphael Varane looks likely to get the nod at centre-back alongside captain Sergio Ramos, while Dani Carvajal will be preferred to Danilo (who is a doubt anyway) on the right side of defence.

In midfield, Casemiro is available again and made his return from injury in the 6-1 win over Cultural Leonesa on Wednesday night. However, following a long spell on the sidelines, the Brazilian looks set to start on the bench as Zidane seems likely to keep faith in Mateo Kovacic alongside Luka Modric and Isco, who was so impressive in the recent derby win at the Vicente Calderon.

BARCELONA DOSSIER

Barcelona trail Real Madrid by six points after 13 rounds of La Liga and the Catalans have been inconsistent this season, drawing three of their six matches at Camp Nou so far in the Primera Division.

The last of those was a goalless game at home to Malaga and Luis Enrique's side were also unable to win away at Real Sociedad in a 1-1 draw on Sunday. The Catalans then tied 1-1 in Alicante against Hercules in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday - albeit with their second string in that match.

The return of Andres Iniesta will represent a big boost for Barca, with the midfielder missing since he injured his knee away to Valencia in La Liga on October 22. However, form has not been good and Luis Enrique admitted after the game at Anoeta that his side will need to do much better against Real Madrid in the Clasico.

While Madrid will be top whatever happens on Saturday, Barcelona simply cannot afford to lose and fall nine points behind their fierce rivals - even at this early stage of La Liga.

BEST OPTA MATCH FACTS

=>Real Madrid have won five of their last nine games aganst Barça in all competitions (L4), including their last trip to Camp Nou (1-2).

=> Only Alfredo Di Stefano (18) has scored more goals for Real Madrid than Cristiano Ronaldo (16) in Clasicos in all competitions.

=> Karim Benzema has scored five goals in his last seven Liga Clasicos, but just one of them came at Camp Nou.

=> Real Madrid have picked up 11 red cards in their last 26 Clasicos, with four of them coming for Sergio Ramos (all competitions).

A game of football is like biscuit, you never know where it'd crack. At the moment,Real Madrid is playing better than Barcelona but that might not guarantee them victory. Fingers crossed, waiting patiently and worst result for any loser would be to try another time.

GOOD NEWS TO BARCA FANS

BREAKING: grinIniesta completes Barcelona's Classico squad

The captain enjoys a timely return from a knee injury to be available for the high-stakes clash against Real Madrid at Camp Nou on Saturday
Andres Iniesta is back in Luis Enrique's 18-man squad as Barcelona prepare to host Real Madrid in the first Clasico clash of the season on Saturday.

The Spanish champions take on the current La Liga leaders at Camp Nou hoping to close the six-point gap that has opened up at the top of the table.

And the hosts have been boosted by the return to fitness of their captain Iniesta, who prepares to make his return from a knee injury.

The 32-year-old picked up a knee injury against Granada in October and he has been sorely missed by Barcelona, who proceded to draw two consecutive matches in his absence.

While it is unclear whether Iniesta will be included from the start, there is the possibility he will play some part against the club's rivals Madrid, who climbed clear at the summit.

Barcelona squad for Real Madrid

GOALKEEPERS: Ter Stegen, Cillessen.

DEFENDERS: Pique, Digne, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto, Mascherano, Umtiti.

MIDFIELDERS: Busquets, Rakitic, Andre Gomes, Denis Suarez, Arda Turan, Iniesta.

FORWARDS: Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez, Paco Alcacer
