HOLLYWOOD MOVIES: The Actors and their Names…
In the movies, if there is a “Sam”, he’s probably the lost protagonist, whose antagonist is about to snatch his wife, claim his kids or his business or worse, land him in “police trouble”.
If he’s “Nick”, he’s perhaps the doctor or lawyer or a professional on Wall Street, who is in love with a colleague at work but does not know how to approach her; he keeps more to his male friends and does not miss his routine: ‘hanging out with the boys’.
And when they name him “John” or a “Jack”, there is proof he’s certainly a hunk of a man; a macho! No offence, but he’s rather brutish; having acted before thinking, he’s out to prove nothing but the man who ends up in a personal mess, trying to save the world and be the hero! Permit me if I say, he may be out for revenge too.
He is definitely the social miscreant, a recidivist or even worse a serial killer, if he’s a “Joan” or “Thomas” or “Finch”. Oh! He’s a square peg in a round hole … People say he should be ‘tucked away for good’. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

“Sarafina.” That’s quite a melody! She is the total embodiment and paradigm of proud motherhood and perfect upbringing. It is evident in her children, she’s really disciplined. No, no she’s nobody to be messed with.
Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned! How unhappy and frustrated would she be because her love is unrequited? She definitely would be a “Katie”, “Catherine” or “Tricia”. She deserves more than what she’s getting, and that is if she is getting any at all.
“Alicia” or “Lucia” passes through eccentric infantile and always lack the courage to grasp the reality of maturity. Her choice stands where it is unnecessary; a boyfriend or a college degree, the library or the party. Whatever decision she makes in these is really obvious.
Wow! See the sophisticated and high-class “Sophia”, or fondly called, “Sophie” or “Tasha”. She’s the perfect illustration of a single lady with high-class tastes and pleasures. Where the difficulty lies is that she may have already told you she’s single and unattached but you wouldn’t have caught the hint she’s a single-mother! …and oh, that she also smokes cigarettes and snores in bed!
