Yesterday, an uncompleted two storey building in Makinde Street, Ikeja area collapsed.
Reports reaching us has it that the building has since been cordoned off for rescue operation as a team of RRS officers are providing security against hoodlums who might want to use the situation as a cover to carry out nefarious activities.

I was once passing by a building under construction then I heard a labourer telling his colleague "it is not a must it should be like that "
I never ventured to pass the building again undecided

Fashola should bring sanity to the building industry. The national assembly should pass the National Building Code too. The ministry if housing had been neglected by this administration like others did.
The effect could be as bad as Boko Haram. The death toll of the akwa ibom building collapse was more than suicide attack. All we hear is commiseration without actions to prevent it in the future.
