Dude dey r in an arid region. U can c dt dere is very sparse vegetation in dt area connoting very little soil water, meaning dt d animal population wld be very little if any. I bet d only thriving lifeforms r animals lyk scorpions, centipedes, cockroaches etc. Also u can't blame dem 4 d poor training dey received. When d bulk of training u receive as a soldier entails physical punishment & nt woodcraft & environmental survival training, u r bound 2 be defeated by d forces of nature. Thirdly, their orders were 2 capture & retain presence in dt community, nt 2 go scavenging 4 food and water. Imagine as dey go looking 4 food & run in2 an ambush set by d enemy. Dey wld likely b routed & lose possession of dt place. Lastly, it is d height of betrayal & irresponsibility 4 a superior officer 2 send his men out on an operation wt seeing 2 it dt dey hv all dey require b4,during & afta dt operation. D fact dt a soldier is willing 2 lay his lyf down doesn't mean he has 2 die due 2 negligence of duty by superior officers. @ least every battalion has a supply & logistics department dt shld b in charge of such things. Ds is clearly dereliction of duty by those responsible.
