ABS Malfunction In My Pajero by hardbody: 1:32pm On Dec 22, 2016
Ok, we were driving home two days ago and my driver suddenly shouted that the breaks had gone flat and at the same time i heard a piercing siren-like noise in the vehicle. We also noticed that some lights came up on the dashboard and refused to go off, specifically, the light that indicates break oil shortage, the ABS light and the slippery road kind of indicator light. He managed the car until i took over and shortly after, the lights went off and the vehicle got me home. Yesterday morning, as I was coming out to pick him, the scenario replayed. I have decided not to risk driving it any further. Could any guru in the house suggest a possible reason and steps needed to take. My most trusted hand appears confused on this hence i am resorting to coming to the house.

Your Abs is bad and gone for. With the siren blowing depicts a warning sign to pull over. Replace Abs unit and it would be fine. If you are in lagos we can get it sorted out @ multiautolab. 08156087872 or 08165520837

normally what would occur in this vehicle is stiff brakes, and not brakes going flat.

Your abs unit is a 3in one, it is a master/servo all in one and also serves as the abs control unit. As long as you have not removed the battery terminals, a code will be stored that describes what led to the brake failure. In most cases it is fixable for long term use.

Scan a.b.s unit and post the codes here, I'll tell you what to do.

I was specific about what should be scanned. ABS ECU not engine.

Bring it in for a free scan. I no longer offer repairs on mitsubishi , but I can give you free diagnosis.

OK sir.

Will do after the yuletide. I am already at work today and will be out of town by first light tomorrow.

I guess I am yet to understand how to run the specific diagnosis using OB2 Scanner.

Thanks for always having my back.

If its an obd2 scanner that scans only powertrain then am afraid you won't be able to run a scan on abs control unit, get some1 who has a professional scan tool to run scan on abs control unit. By the way is your abs light on?
