Hi,
Sorry, did you pay the application fee while applying for Erasmus Mundus scholarship?
Application fee?
No
Re: Share Your Experiences As A Postgraduate Student In A Federal University! by Fraih(f): 11:42am On Feb 11, 2017
WhyNa:

There is no application fee for erasmus mundus application. Everything is a free do it yourself thingy
But I saw something like Step 4: Payment of Application fee , out of the 10 steps for registration.

Am I on the wrong page?

Which course are you applying to? Did you tick all the right boxes? No application fee is asked of for E.M applications.

For all postgraduate students and intending scholars:
We alll know that the soul of lecturing career lies in research publication.

For starters: you can start by publishing your undergraduate research work, your postgraduate seminars and thesis.

You may not have money to publish in expensive Journal houses like Elsevier and science direct, no problem, you can start by publishing in free journal houses. The more publications you have, the more your chances of getting that lecturing job or promotion.
I'll help by dropping one free journal publication house for interested scholars. I will drop more on popular demand.

Visit www.erjournals.com and see their list of journals (waste of time)....

Or

Just send them your article for publication at erjournals@gmail.com.

Be sure to write a good paper so that your article can be accepted for publication..

God bless our hustle

Hmmm. This is weird. I have searched the website careful and still got this

ON THE APPLICATION FEE
15. Do I have to pay the EUR 50 application fee?
Who does need to pay the application fee?

All applicants (including Belgian citizens) applying as degree-seeking student [Bachelor, Master], as ‘international scholar’ or as ‘specialisation student’ are required to pay the EUR 50 application fee per application submitted.
Who does not need to pay the application fee?

All applicants for doctoral, predoctoral and exchange programmes and for credit contract.
Students applying for a VLIR-ICP master's scholarship.
Students applying in the framework of a VLIR-UOS scholarship.

I'll advice you mail the coordinating university for BIFTEC and ask them about the application fee stating that you are applying for an erasmus mundus scholarship. Good luck

Pedagogue:
Let me make it as short as possible:

UI- They have the best PG school in Nigeria. But their unnecessary bureaucracy defeats the goal. Supervisors are tin-gods. Research expectation is extremely poor.

OAU-Great lecturer-student ratio. The main problem is DELAY. It's a big problem.

Unilorin- Fast and composite calendar. Most Supervisors are tribalistic and religious bigots. Poor research outputs.

Unilag- Opportunity to work and study because of the location. But most supervisors are corrupt . All they want is money, money and money! The experience may add no value to you.

Covenant, Bowen and Babcock: Extremely fast. Go there if all you want is a PG certificate/PhD conferment. No rigorous research. Very poor research pedigree. Makes you feel like you bought your certificate because of the lack of academic challenge and stimulation.

Conclusion: Nigerian Universities are OK for undergraduate programmes. But very poor for PG/ PhD programmes. They lack the basic tools for research. Travel abroad if you are interested in QUALITY. By 'abroad' , I don't mean 'Ghana' and NOT ALL the universities in SA!

PG education, especially a PhD programme is not about the certificate. It is much more.
No rigorous research in Covenant university!? I humbly disagree with you Sir.

It's a very good school. As per tuition fee I really don't know. However, it should be around 500k. You can go on twitter and ask @cuhebron

UNICAL is a very rugged school o. If you are going there, be very prepared for the worst.

Have a look at this thread which I created some time ago (your answers are there) : https://www.nairaland.com/3665119/top-5-universities-terrible-postgraduate
