Whats going on last time I checked it ar 5k why is it dropping to below 4k.

Nope, we were not doing 5,000MW recently the first and the only day we did 5,000MW was some time around March 2016 and the day MWH was around 100,078MWH although we did close to 5,000MW in recent time around 4,700MW if I could remember but our MWH was nothing to write about it was same as it is now. what is very important in power generation is the Mega Watt Hour MWH it represents the clearer picture of what was produced at a particular period of time than peak and lowest generation records.

Its complicated, their are alot of reasons... majorly inadequate gas supply to gencos, but some of the gencos like Kanji Dam are now saying that the TCN told them to reduce generation because the discos are rejecting electrical load from TCN. These we believe to be true because most discos can only pay the gencos less than 40% of the energy supplied to them. So I can say the major reason is low Liquidity in the power sector.

Robust policies to curb the excesses of the discos and tcn, complete enumeration and metering of all electricity users, Government should clear and pay all debts they owe the sector, the discos should patrner and attract more capable investtors and expatriate knowledge in solving many of the problems in the sector.... to mention but a few
