Court sentences Rev. King to death by hanging

A Lagos High Court in Ikeja presided over by Justice Joseph Oyewole has sentenced the controversial General Overseer of Christian Praying Assembly, Ajao Estate, Lagos, Reverend Emeka Ezeugo, known as Rev. King, to death by hanging. King was arraigned before Justice Joseph Oyewole on September 26, 2006, for a six-count charge of murder of Ann Uzor and attempted murder on five other members. The offences were contrary to sections 316 and 320 of the Criminal Code Law, Cap C. Vol.2 Laws of Lagos State, 2003. Section 319 (1) of the Criminal Code stipulates death penalty for the offence of murder. The section states that "subject to the provisions of the section of this code, any person who commits the offence of murder shall be sentenced to death." The late Uzor was one of the six victims that King had allegedly set ablaze after ordering that a jerry can of petrol be poured on them on July 22, 2006 in contravention of section 338 of the Criminal Code. The others are Olisa Chiejina, Onuorah Chizobah, Vivian Eseocha, Jessica Nwene and Kosisochukwu Ezenwankwo.

E easy like that?? cheesy

We haven't heard the end of the story - na sentence them serve am; later the "king" Emeka go waka!

I just hope the devil will not use this as another tribal war between the Yorubas and Ibos; it's not a matter of Oyewole and Ezeugo, but of the crime commited.

Don't you feel the world is on the verge of ending!though, it is written in both Holy Quaran and Holy Bible that if the world is coming to an end such will be one of the happenings. If they can do that to 'rev.king'then similar judgement should be passed on those okija' shrine people that involve in mass killing.Don't you think,D culprit does not have people of strong voice to back him.If they are honest in passing there judgement.I think people of such calibre we not be walking freely in our society .Though,i'm not an advocate of death by hanging.
