And here we go again, dried lips, dried nostrils, easily whitened skins (those okada men are a sight to behold). Its also a bit of paradox, the nights turns everyone to snuggle bunnies but the days are so hot your laundried clothes dry before indomie is done. Its normal to see a lot of red eyes like person wey smoke igbo, people sneezing wnd coughing like choking cars.
Well, here are 5 tips to dey kanpe in this period.

1. Take lots of water:
Because of the dryness experienced and the hotness of the day, the body looses a lot of water. Taking a lot of water keeps your throat and mouth moistened, and helps to prevent cold or flu episodes. Try at least 4 pure water satchets a day

2. Step up your nutrition:
some people will canvass nutritional supplements like Vitamin C tablets et al, but i always say no need to go that far. There is an Hausa man with fruits in almost every corner, help the farming economy, invest in fruits consumption and your body will reap in MMM folds.

3. Stay warm:
Wear protective clothing during the day and at night. Asthmatics or those with chronic respiratory conditions should pay special attention to their health and take all possible and practicable measures to reduce exposure to the dusty atmosphere and they should carry their inhalers with them at all times. Sicklers should be vigilant and keep warm as much as possible to prevent crisis.

4. Keep over the counter anti-allergy drugs handy. There are a lot of them out there that can help stop that runny nose, sore throat and catarrh in its track. Drugs like Loratidine, Cetirizine & Levocetirizine will help and they wont make you drowsy. We cant afford that abi?

5. Step up your hygiene.
Someone once said soap, water amd common sense are . You can also go around with a sanitizer. Sneeze into your arms (not hands).
By ensuring these, you provide help and get help (another MMM joke) by preventing the spread of viruses and other infectious agents to and from people.

Staying healthy is much cheaper than curing ill health like the price of "pure water" compared to "bottled water"
