The Christians do say that Prophet Ibraaheem (Abraham) [Peace be upon him] is Baba Igbagbo (Father of faith).
We hereby ask them: Father of which faith? Christianity, Islaam or Jewish religion?
If it is Christianity, we say that Abraham never met with Jesus, and Jesus never knew anything called Christianity, let alone saying that Abraham was a Christian.
If it is Jewish, we say that Abraham knew nothing called Jewish religion, he was only recorded authentically to have called to monotheism (oneness of God).
This therefore makes it clear that Abrahaam was Father of Faith in Islaam. Meanwhile, this monotheism is what Islaam preaches and calls mankind to. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ** Or are they saying that indeed Ibraaheem, Ismaa'eel, Ishaaq and Ya'qoob were Jews or Christians? Say (to them oh Muhammad): Are you the ones more knowledgeable or Allaah? **
