All the steps you have mentioned are still intended for the domestic market. The religious right and militaristic right. They are all intended to court the alt right conservative movement. They are not indicative of global policy. Have you heard him say anything about Africa - Gambia is on the news now as is Ivory coast. These are two time sensitive emergencies - not even a statement. What about South America? Or India Pakistan? These are areas that contain the bulk of the world's population as well as having the highest potential growth rates.

Time will tell. My feeling is that he will continue to court those who voted for him and these guys are focused on American jobs, immigration a law and order.

Let's see how it goes. It could all be quite different.

Nice observations! Trump and America consider Africa as a low politics area (except when a balance is about to be tilted, terrorist related incidence and disruption of their business especially in oil producing areas). Trump isn't interested in Gambia because it has nothing to offer America...do you think he would have remained indifferent had this happened in SA? No! Every move taken by Trump so far is a "Global policy"... Of course the world is now in a grid that ordinary Trumps phone call to Taiwan affected Chinese stock market that day, etc! If Trump really wanna maintain the conservative order, why is he doubting intelligence agencies submission of hack that rendered Hillarys candidacy vulnerable? As a conservative, that's a slap on the mighty America which the retaliation (expounded by Obama) should be sacrosanct, but do you see Trump upholding those sanctions? I doubt... Pls never ever think America can play that isolation shit of the pre world 1917 days. They know the repercussions

You are expecting a great deal of the Trump Presidency. Kingdoms rise and fall. Once it was the Portuguese and Spanish armada, then it was England, then the United States and lately China. I agree interests are interlocking and that no one can withdraw from the global but even a 5 degree turn is big news

As a historian, I know about this facts but the truth is, the internal and external contradictions that catalyzed the collapse of these forces are not present in US but they are there in China. See the Irony?
