You get married because a) you want to b) you get something out of it (whatever that might be that you want to get out of it). A slave is not a slave by choice and does not get what s/he wants for being a slave.

You work because you a) want money and b) because you get paid to do the job. If you do not like it, you have a choice to either steal or find a new job, for instance. Your boss can't imprison you and beat the hell out of you.

In both scenarios you have choices, as a slave you don't. You don't choose your master and you are not free to leave him/her. You are a property and you have no rights.
