My Sister May Die Soon, I Am Sad by CaptainBomb(m): 9:07pm On Jan 11
How would you feel knowing your sister has lumps in her br3ast and the chances of having cancer is 70%. She still talk to you normal as if she is fine , though she did not know what is wrong with her is a life threatning disease that has no cure and could take her life. We havent scan the lumps to know if it is cancer or not but i am worried my sister may die of cancer. Is there any hope for her to survive because i have been told and read that no one survive cancer

I can relate to your feeling and post bro, been there with my mum....
My advice,a scan is very mandatory and expedient.breast lump differs from a developed breast cancer,a scan should determine the current stage of the lump and the medication/medical procedures to employ, each passing day is relevant.
As hard as it would be,dont stigmatize her with pity. Pray for her when you have the opportunity and just hope on God for the best...i wish your family bliss tho

Not all lumps are cancerous. In fact most lumps are harmless.I removed lumps when I was 18 or 19,can't remember and they were not cancerous and that's more than 10 years ago.I am still living fine and healthy.
Don't ever think of death for her...it is well

You supposed to be the one to give your sister hope by encouraging her,now you are expressing fear which you will eventually transfer to your sister. Test are yet to be carried out yet you had concluded, it is the roaring of lion that it uses to trap its prey, fear has torment.

Some lumps are operated on and removed, get her to a hospital were all the required scan would be done to know the state of her health.
You worry too much.

Bro, you shouldn't allow fear take a hold of you.
You say the chances of getting cancer is 70%.. But she hasn't gotten it yet. Encourage her bro, don't let her feel depressed.
Let her go for the necessary scans. I lost a sis too, that shiit is painful.
I hope she gets better.

Re: My Sister May Die Soon, I Am Sad by Benita27(f): 9:38pm On Jan 11
Pritypussi:For the fact that you saw some girls going for cancer scan doesn't mean they had cancer.
We're advice that once you notice a strange growth on the breast, see a doctor because they're carsinogenic, but the earlier the better before it's too late.
I know someone who got one removed cos it was just a lump.

90% of breast lump are benign( non cancerous which are usually caused by hormonal changes ) just very few are malignant( cancerous) which requires mastectomy ( complete removal of the breast(s)..... Its nothing to fear bro just let her go for the surgery, I pray hers is just one of the usuals (BENIGN)

Don't worry. I think you're just panicking. Not all lumps are cancerous. Let her go to the hospital and get it removed. Simple procedure.
Re: My Sister May Die Soon, I Am Sad by deadie(m): 8:57am On Jan 12
Hi, it depends on the resources you have. I work in a radiotherapy department (somewhere in Europe) and early stage cancer (if it is cancer at all) is curable. The Swedish-Ghana medical centre is probable the best place for cancer treatment in West Africa. I have contact with a staff there. Let me know if you need further advice. But, your sister need to get diagnosed ASAP! I know someone who died of cervical cancer because Nigerian doctors spent close to a year managing her without concrete diagnosis.
